Expert/NoviceSTEP 1:

1. Choose a partner and assign A and B roles.

A=Let’s Talk B=Pen/cil to Paper

2. Both A and B “personas” will carefully read your assigned routine.

3. On an index card, create an overview statement that will serve as your quick lecture point.

4. On a post-it write three questions that students might ask.

5. Revisit your index card and write the answers to the student questions.

STEP 2:

1. Teachers exchange post-its with your partner.

2. Let’s role play! Partner A is now a professor and partner B is a college student.

-Professor reads overview statement.

-College student then asks questions.

-Professor will answer. Unscripted questions are allowed.
