Presentantion ILIS project at FH Joannneum (Austria). ILIS stand for Innovations and Learning in Spa Management (see www.ilisproject.eu ) ILIS project (2008-2010)* combine the experience and knowledge of five academic partners and their industrial partners in spa management in Finland (TUAS), Poland (AWF), Austria (FH Joanneum), United Kingdom (UCB) and Spain (FLORIDA).

• To develop an understanding as to the nature and regional characteristics of the spa products and services as an integral part of health tourism offered within the EU and of the demand characteristics for these products and services in each of the regions represented in this project.

• To determine the extent to which each region is meeting the demand for skilled operatives, middle and senior management in the spa tourism industry.

• To create common vocational (tertiary level) training and virtual educational modules in cooperation with participating higher education, industry enterprise partners and associates.

• ILIS is one of the projects funded by the EC in 2008 within the framework of the ERASMUS programme (Multilateral Projects: Cooperation between higher education and enterprises) .

• Duration: 1st October 2008 - 1st October 2010• Total budget is 392 718 € (75% + 25%)• The workload is divided into 6 work packages:

• Management, research, VLE development, quality, dissemination and exploitation
