Teacher Librarian Monica Roverie of Bethel Elementary in Clover, SC spent time with us in the SCASL 2012 Learning Commons discussing her implementation of a class set of iPods and iPads in her school program. GREAT stuff here!!

Ipads/Ipods:• Number the ipod backgrounds

and the cart slots to easily identify

• Have kids sign contract for proper use

• Use index cards/sticky notes to put in number slot when teacher checks out ipod

• One username/password for app store for all ipads, separate one for all ipods

• Create app request sheet to give to technology committee to add apps

• VGA adapters for connecting to interactive white boards

Other:• Bring classes in to use the

ipads/ipods for specific lessons…great class incentive!

• ipad/ipod game time for reading incentive prizes

Tech TipsDestiny Scavenger Hunt:• Student Groups were given a

laptop and an ipad with questions

• Students had to use Destiny Quest to answer the questions. They answered the questions directly on the ipad

• Saved file to Dropbox, which went directly to me.
