BIOGRAPHY He was born on 28th june, 1938.He lived in
Hortaleza Madrid, Spain. He died on 1st February, 2014 (at the age of
75, in Madrid)He was a football player and a Spanish
football team coach .
PLAYING CAREERAragonés began his playing career with CD
Getafe in 1957 and that was also where he picked up his nickname "the elf“
In 1958, he signed for Real Madrid but never made it into the senior team.
In 1964, Aragonés signed by Atlético Madrid where he acquired the nickname "Zapatones", meaning "big boots“.
COACH CAREER, SPANISH CLUBSAragonés was a football coach in different

On taking over the national team, Aragonés made changes in the team, he also employed Tiki-taka, a system of short passing .
Aragonés then presided over Spain's victorious campaign at Euro 2008, beating Germany 1–0 in the final with a goal of Fernando Torres.
