PHRASAL VERBS

A Phrasal verb is an adverb or a preposition is, in English, a compound verb formed by the combination of a verb and a grammatical particle, that is to say, or even for a verb continued by an adverb and a preposition.

DRIVE OFF

Example: Andrés got into the bus and drove off to Bogotá.

To leave a place in a transport way.

Example: My computer broke down from Monday morning.

Used to indicate that something stopped working.

Example: The teacher is speaking. Look out!

Indian attention, concentration, or be aware.

MOVE IN.

Example: I’m moving into a new apartament.

Signals actions as to advance, to move and to change.

WORK OUT

Example: I work out at the gym all week.

To do physical exercise, to exercise.

GO ON

Example: He must go on your university.

It is used to continue (continuation).

SLOW DOWN

Example: The motorcycle of Eric goes very fast. Slow down!

It indicates to reduce the speed or to go more slowly.

GROW UP

Example: Sergio was a born in Colombia but grew up in Suecia.

It means to grow in age, growing up.

GIVE UP

Example: On Saturday there recovery of evaluation. Give up!

Used to refer to giving good results, to giving up.

CHEER UP

Example: Two day left for your birthday. Cheer up!

It indicates to be glad, to be happy for something.
