• Right-click the Lasso Tool button on the Tools panel to display a context menu, and then select Magnetic Lasso Tool

• Click the ‘Indicates channel visibility’ button to the left of the Alpha 1 channel to display its color overlay

to display the Brush Preset picker, double-click the value in the Size box, and then type the desired brush size

• Double-click the value in the Hardness box and type the desired hardness

• Click the desired channel thumbnail to select the channel

• Right-click the channel and choose Duplicate Channel from the context menu to display the Duplicate Channel dialog box

• In the As text box, type the desired channel name, and then click the OK button to close the Duplicate Channel dialog box

• Click the Brush Tool button• In the options bar, click the Mode button and select Overlay• Click the Brush Preset picker button to open the Brush Preset

picker• Double-click the value in the Size box and type the desired

brush size, then type the desired hardness in the Hardness box• Click the Brush Preset picker button again to close the Brush

Preset picker• If necessary, press the D key to reset the foreground/

background colors• Drag across the desired portion of the image

• Select the Lasso Tool and draw a selection around the desired area

• Click Edit on the Application bar, and then click Fill to display the Fill dialog box

• Click the Use box arrow to display the Use list. Click the desired fill color, and then click the OK button to fill the selection with the chosen color

• Press CTRL+D to deselect the selection

• Click Select on the Application bar, and then click Load Selection to display the Load Selection dialog box

• Click the Channel box arrow to display the list, select the desired channel, and then click the OK button

• Click the mask thumbnail on the desired layer• Click Select on the Application bar, and then click

• Click the Brush Tool button to select it• Set the desired brush size• Press the D key to reset the colors to the default setting• Press the X key to reverse the colors so that white is the

foreground color• Click the ‘Lock transparent pixels’ button at the top of

the Layers panel so that the transparency of the layer is protected

to display the Warp Text dialog box• Click the Style box arrow, and then click the desired style• Set the desired bend, Horizontal Distortion, and Vertical

• On the Adjustments panel, click the Selective Color icon to display its settings

• Click the ‘Clip to layer’ button on the status bar to create an adjustment layer

• Click the Colors box arrow to display its list• Click Neutrals to adjust the neutral colors in the image• Drag the Cyan slider to –53, drag the Magenta slider to –31,

drag the Yellow slider to –18, and drag the Black slider to 49 until a warm brown color is attained

• On the Image menu, point to Mode and then click Grayscale

• When Photoshop asks to discard adjustment layers, click the OK button
