Before we start…..

What is our relationship with the people we are close to - those who are older or younger than us? How do we feel about them, how are they different from ourselves in what they need, how they feel and think? What are some of the things we need to know and think about in order to look after them? And how do we look after ourselves? These are some of the questions we will look at in this SLU, 'Taking Care of Others and Oneself'. It has activities that deal with making decisions, solving problems, finding out about how life has changed over the years in your village or town.

Activity – 1 :

How much do you know about cooking? Here are some words that describe what you do in thekitchen. Do you know the meanings of these words? Look up the dictionary to find out themeanings that you don't know. This will be good practice for you so that whenever you don'tunderstand a word in your textbook, you can always check the dictionary.
