Introduction

• On a serious note if we comprehensively try to understand the causes for deterioration

• It is mainly due to the following reasons

•Poor maintenance

.•Frequent earthquakes

•Negligence in repairs

•Vegetation growth

•Structure not in use •Age factor

Cracks Cracks occurred at the various places all over the structure due to poor maintenance.

Cracks occurred at the west side and also at the plinth level.

• Major cracks developed due to earthquakes.

Vegetation

Unwanted vegetation grown due to poor maintenance.

Due to unwanted growth of vegetation over different places caused threat and also destroyed the existing structure.

Cladding

Beautiful cladding of the temple carved in stone was destroyed due to earthquakes and scorching sun.

Roofing

• The roofing of the temple was seen destroyed due to various reasons and been thrown out.

Plinth

• The plinth was completed destroyed and the cladding done for the plinth was detached.

Beam and columns• The beams and

columns which constitute the entrance porch was seen missing but the traces were found which proved their presence.Major reason may be due to earthquakes which erupted on continous internals over a period of time from the time of its construction.
