Melinda Hull has been teaching English in Japan for the last 25 years, focusing on academic and research writing for the last 10 years. Together, Editage and Ms Hull bring this workshop designed to help Japanese authors not only improve their research paper writing skills but also find paper writing simple and stress-free. Japanese researchers typically encounter at least one of the following situations: 1. they have to write a graduation thesis in English to graduate from university 2. they want to be considered for a position at a university, and for that they need to have a record of papers published in international journals 3. they want to tell the world (and not just Japan) about the results of their long and arduous research, and so they have to publish in international journals This workshop will cover the fundamentals of writing an academic research paper in a systematic fashion. Through this workshop, Japanese researchers will be equipped with the tools they need to write a good research paper in English. ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR-MELINDA HULL Ms Melinda Hull is an American teacher who has been teaching English in Japan since 1985.For the last ten years; Ms Hull has specialized in teaching scientific English and medical English in universities in Japan, including the University of Tokyo and Tokyo Medical University. As an Instructor of Research Writing at Cactus Communications, Ms Hull conducts workshops for our clients in Japan and assists in developing our online courses.
