•These tubes may be different sizes and are put in through a small incision in the ear drum.

•They are meant to equalize pressure.

•These tubes are usually made from silicone and different metals.

•A doctor who’s specialty is the eye, ear, nose and throat is called an ENT.

•They help with things like allergies as well as throat problems, like removal of the tonsils.

•The sinus’s play a big part of this all.

•Bone conduction is how sound is transfer to the inner ear throughout the bones of the skull.

•It is why our voice sounds different to us when we speak then we here it in a recording.

•Headphones, hands-free devices are examples of bone conduction.

•The ears help in a persons balance and body position. The ear also helps to hear and is part of the auditory system.

•The eight cranial nerve place a big part in not only the auditory part, but also our sense of balance.

•The middle ear is where the tiny bones are located, they are called ossicles.

•Otitis media is inflammation of the middle ear and is one of the leading causes for earaches. It takes about 2-6 weeks to heal.

•It can cause intense pain and a swollen ear drum.

•This is usually caused by a common cold or a viral infection, more commonly strept.

•Emmetropia is when the eye is focused on something that is 6m to 20 ft away whether far or close and has no problem doing it.

•People who’s emmetropia works on every aspect means they have perfect vision.

•A person who lasik surgery usually is trying to correct a problem with this.

•Exotropia is when the eye or eyes are facing outward.People who have exotropia may sometimes also have crossed diplopia.

•Children may be born with this or may get this in the future.

•To correct it or be able to manage it better you can try surgery, but it may be too risky otherwise people usually try vision therapy.

•Eyes perceive light and translate it into electro-chemical impulses in neurons.

•In humans eyes are more complex then in some organisms that can only tell the difference between light and dark.

•The optic nerve is the one that sends the information to the visual cortex.

•There are six muscles that control the movement of the eye.

•The way it moves is dependent on the muscle and the contraction of the eye.

•All the muscles in the eye are very important especially when it comes to reading because we make such rapid eye movements when reading.

•Visual Acuity is how accurate and clear is a persons vision, which is reliant on the sharpness of the retinal focus.

•This chart is something used to check VA . You read the letters from 20 ft away and the letters you can see determine your vision.
