National Convention Center is one of the biggest and most Vietnamese large-scale comprehensive convention center that integrates convention, exhibition, performance, banquet and mas-media into a whole. National Convention Center possesses a convention venue of more than 60,000 square meters, comprising of a 3800-seat Great Conference Hall, two presidential meeting rooms, 72 small conference halls and meeting rooms, parking areas, heliport and square, built to serve a wide variety of purposes with the capacity from 10 up to 3800 people. The halls are equipped with international-advanced simultaneous interpretation system, first-rate acoustic apparatus, a live TV relay system, inside and outside communication system,

video conference system and other internally advanced facilities and equipments to meet the needs of conferences of all scales and types.

The completed National Convention Center is not only a place for large-scale political and cultural activities, but also a landmark building of construction industry in Vietnam.

We acted as one of the main Contractors during the construction stage of this fast tracked project. Thousand of Vinaconex labors and millions of man-hours spending for the successful of this project have shown our consistent adherence to principle of high efficiency, low cost and zero accident record.

Petrovietnam Trading Center is one of the most modern high-rise office buildings in Hanoi, using state-of-the-art technologies and new material in construction. Setting up joint venture with REE, Vinaconex-REE is a General Contractor to provide construction, supply and installation of equipment, transferal, commis-sioning, training, instructions for equipment use for this 19-floor office building.

The services included construction work, finishing work, M&E work, lighting system, generators, elevators system, plumbing, gas

system, fire hose …. Nghi Son Cement Plant – Expansion project aims at building a second cement production line with a capacity of 2.15 million tpy. This plant meets international standards for insurance, environment/social performance and local community development.

Participating in this project, VINACONEX E&C undertakes a wide range of civil construction works that include simple jobs like construc-tion of boundary walls, warehouse to special-ized structures like Silos, bunkers, tunnels, track hoppers, heavy machine foundations, Raw Material Proportioning House, Raw Mill House, Raw Mill Cyclone, Kiln Stack, Blending Silo etc.

Bai Chay bridge is a new wonder for World Heritage Site Ha Long Bay. It has total length 903m, clearance space is 50 metres high and 130 metres wide, allowing 50,000 ton ships to pass under it easily. The main span of this single-plane cable-stayed structure is 435 m, a new world record for a single span of a bridge of this type.

Subleted by Shimizu-Sumitomo Mitsui JO, VINACONEX E&C undertook substructure works at Hon Gai site, approach roads and part of superstructure works for this landmark bridge project.

The substructure work involved in the construction of shin-so pile and pneumatic caisson foundation structures, pile caps, pier columns, etc…. This construction technology and work nature required the enforcement of highest level of working safety standards, the mobilization of well-trained and high-skilled workers with technical expertise. And VINAC-ONEX E&C proved to be professional in this field.

Hanoi-Lao Cao Highway Construction Project is part of Greater Mekong subregion - Kunming Haiphong Transport Corridor, aims at promoting the trade relationship between Vietnam and China as well as developing economy and culture for North – North West of Vietnam.

VINACONEX E&C is awarded for construction of package A8, Km 218+040-Km 244+155, that encompasses works of underpasses, ramp roads, bridges, drainge box culverts, pipe culverts, interchanges, traffic signal and toll plaza. The contract value is VND1627 billions under loan funded by ADB.

VINACONEX E&C, bases on its engineering know-how, huge in-house resources, and capacity for mobilizing additional resources throught its associated agencies is ready to commence the works, makes it a success and launches more development opportunities for this remote and mountainous area.

The New National Highway no. 3 is a critical highway among road network connecting Hanoi to Thai Nguyen. This project is a part of a strategy to improve Vietnam’s transportation system, aims at boosting economic exchanges between Hanoi and the northern mountainous areas surrounding Thai Nguyen. We were awarded Package 2, Construction of Section from Soc Son to Thai Nguyen in November 2009 under the capacity of a joint operation with other reliable partners. Main structures encompass 34.4km of four-lane expressway, 03 interchanges and intersections, 12 bridges, a great number of box and pipe

culverts, relocation of irrigation canals, AC pavement and other general items. The Package is funded by JBIC for nearly 1524 billion VNdong and will be implemented in late 2009. The progress is scheduled for 42 months since commencement date.

Nhat Tan bridge project

Ministry of Transport is the Employer of Nhat Tan bridge and approaches construction project. It locates on the Ring road II of Hanoi city with total length of 8.95km. This is a continuous stayed cable bridge with 5 Tower Bridge. The length of main bridge is 3,755m. The project is financed by ODA fund, under STEP conditions of Japan Government. Vinaconex E&C have taken part in the construction of 02 packages amongst 03 packages of project.

Vinaconex E&C have involved in the construc-tion of main bridge and approach road at the North, 3080m long and 32m wide, from Abutment A2 to Pier P11. The key work scope varies from casting and launching of super T girder, casting for deck slab, casting surface of bridge, cast-in-place box girders, cantilever works.

Located at 34 Lang Ha, Hanoi, Vinaconex building enjoys the benefit of a double frontage. This dignified office building is delivering a gross floor area of 24,000 sqm, including 27 storey and 03 basement parking.Showing a modern architecture, the building is also equipped with state-of-the art technical systems such as high-speed lifts, M&E system, security system…and distinctive curtain walls system. The Hanoi Museum is an exceptional architecture - bringing together the old and the new on one single site. It has four storeys on the surface and two underground with total area of 53,963 square meters and is 30.7 meters high. The design and build form of the contract were firstly adopted among projects in Vietnam. Hanoi Museum has the form of a counter pyramid with a hard structure leans upon 04 cores that bear almost of loading capacity, all floors are hung up against the roof structure. This venue is harmonious with surrounding landscape and buildings, showing as a museum with the youngest and most innovative soul.

Construction began in May 2008 on site at Pham Hung street. VINACONEX E&C acted as the project management consultant during the construction and tender of this landmark project, including the selection and procurement of required equipment and the commissioning of facilities. We are also responsible for the majority of statutory compliance checking during construction stage. By providing our own unique solutions, we continue to provide the highest levels of quality and safety through workflow management and the foreseeable successful of the project.

The main goal of the project was to create a well functioning residential area of high quality with all the necessary services for the low-income workers.

The scope of the project was turnkey construc-tion of 17 high-rise apartment buildings, encompasses low-income house and dormi-tory with total floor area of 135,550 sqm for 12,000 people on land area of 9 hectares.

The venue also involved in construction of infrastructure works of water supply system, water drainage system, lighting system, roads pavements and landscaping.

The overall construction works covered under separate contracts, commenced on February 2007 and scheduled to complete on 2011.

At present, VINACONEX E&C is developing a mix-use project that combines offices, trading center and apartments with comprehensive service integration.

Located in Trung Hoa Nhan Chinh, Hanoi, the complex offers a lifestyle of full comfort and convenience, with in-the-door shopping mall and easy reach of the Hanoi downtown. Comprising two 23-storey and two 27-storey blocks with total gross floor area of 110.000m2, the modernity of architectural language is characterized by clear simple lines. This condo-minium development shows the harmony to surrounding environment and landscape.

The apartment units begin at 4th storey. Each floor offers both 2-, 3- and 4-bedroom unit types, In addition, to meet the needs of extended families, all towers arrange duplex 3-4 bedroom apartments, that commence from 20th floor upward. Beginning from a Consultancy Department of Vietnam Construction and Import-Export Joint-Stock Corporation (VINACONEX), The Department of Bidding and Project Manage-ment served as a consultant of the Corpora-tion, support in management works of construction investment projects of all sizes.

To further develop the efficiency of this mode, the Corporation expanded the Department into two Centers, specializing in bidding works and management of great projects under-taken by VINACONEX, as well as providing advices and technical supports for VINACONEX affiliates in their construction and procure-ment works.

Foundation for VINACONEX E&C was laid as merging two Centers of Project Manage-ment and Bidding into unique Center, centralized the bidding work and construc-tion management of large-scale project under VINACONEX trade mark
