グレイトフル・デッド (The Grateful Dead) は、アメリカのロックバンド。1965年にカリフォルニア州サンフランシスコで結成された。グレイトフル・デッドの音楽はロック、フォーク、ジャズ、ブルーグラス、カントリー、ブルース、サイケデリック・ロックなど様々な要素を内包している。ライブの長時間にわたる即興演奏を信条としていた。

1960年代のヒッピー文化、サイケデリック文化を代表するアーティストである。デッドヘッズと呼ばれる熱狂的な追っかけファンが多く、ヒットチャートとはほとんど無縁の存在ながら、毎年のようにスタジアム・ツアーを行い、常にアメリカ国内のコンサートの年間収益では一、二を争う存在だった。日本では知名度が高くないが、本国アメリカではアメリカを代表する伝説的バンドとして認識されている。
