WHAT KIND OF MEDIA INSTITUTIONS WOULD

DISTRIBUTE YOUR PRODUCT AND WHY?

I think for this type of genre and movie opening I believe that the best major studio for distributing this would be Warner Bros. Studio. I believe this because that even though Paramount did ‘Paranormal Activity’, I think that due to research into movies very similar openings to my own, like ‘The Conjuring’ etc. Warner Bros. Studios specialise in more factual, historical, drama. They’ve also have had 8 movies over $100m.

I would also want this to be a combined distribution with Warner Bros. and our personal company called Fishtank.

DISTRIBUTION?

For this style of opening(or prospective movie), I believe that mainstream studios would be the best like Odeon cinemas because I think it has a very large target audience and this is a very popular cinema.

By using a more well-known cinema it will fi t with the criteria for our movies. This is because ‘The Conjuring’, and the Harry Potter Series, these are very popular movies and similar to my movie genre.

Also Odeon is more of a luxury cinema as well, where people can go to enjoy watching a movie which I think is what our customers would like.

CINEMATIC DISTRIBUTION?

YouTube – I believe that our trailer for our movie should be put on YouTube, but that it is because I believe we should keep it allusive.

Twitter and Facebook – our fi lm will have a page on both to advertise virally on. I don’t think our genre of movie is right to have an online maze reliving clues, like Cloverfield. However by having both these pages we can keep up with our fans/customers and also share information about the fi lm.

Furthermore finally our movie would get onto movie sites like Netfl ix or Love Film to widen the audience and the increase the views.
