１５haの水田で安全で安心な米作りを学習エコロジカルな米作りに挑戦

Our school has as much as 15 hectares of rice field, and students are learning the cultivationthat is reliable by security.Along with the standard cultivation, they are challenging the sustainable way.

I’d like to introduce you to "Kimura method of natural cultivation rice" , the sustainableway of cultivation, our students are learning.

木村式自然栽培米

この栽培方法の特徴肥料と農薬を一切使わない

2013年にスタートし、今年で5年目を迎えた。

Kimura method of natural cultivation rice

The greatest features of this cultivation method is that,It is not to use fertilizer and artificial manure at all.

Five years have passed since we started this research in 2013.

Rice making by natural cultivation advocated by Mr. Akinori Kimura ,the author of "Miracle apple"

収穫量は、６０％と少ないが、

肥料代と農薬代が不要であるため、環境に優しい栽培方法である。安全で安心なお米として高い評価を受けており、買い取り価格は１４０％が保障されている。

Although the harvest volume is as low as 60%, it is environmentally friendly cultivation method.So fertilizer fee and agricultural chemical fee are unnecessary,it is highly evaluated as safe and secure rice, and the purchaseprice is guaranteed up to 140%.

It is necessary to ensure weeding from the early stages of cultivation. It must also be a way that does not depend on agricultural chemicals, such as work with their hands.

ジャンボタニシが大量発生⇒イネが被害にあう。イネが大きくなるとジャンボタニシ⇒除草

ジャンボタニシの被害を抑え、活用するには、水の深さをうまくコントロールする必要がある。

When rice is small, if a huge outbreak of apple snails occurs, rice will be damaged.On the other hand, when the rice grows bigger, apple snails eat weeds.It is necessary to control the depth of water in order to suppress the damage of apple snails and make good use of them .

水田の水はけの改善と高低差の改善

Improvement of drainage of rice fields and forming a desire form by using agricultural machines.

植物は、肥料を求めてしっかりと根を張るので収穫時期に大風が吹いても倒れにくい。

Plants firmly root for nutrition. As a result, it is hard to fall down even if a gale blows during the harvest season.

“Asahi rice" is popular as rice for sushiIt became delicious by this cultivation method.

寿司米として人気のある「朝日米」この作り方で美味しくなった。

日本酒の原料となる「雄町米」

企業に依頼してオリジナルの日本酒を作る予定である。

We plan to make original sake from "Omachi" ,which is an ingredient of sake , by requesting an outside companies to make it.

安全で安心な米作りを実践的に学ぶ学校として、

また、地域の子ども達と一緒に地域の農業の将来を考える拠点として今後も役割を果たしていきます。

We will continue to play a role as a school that learns safe and secure rice production practically and as a base for thinking about the future of agriculture in the region along with local children.
