2. What is heart?
A fist shaped organ located in the left side of the chest
A miraculous organ that beats 70 times in a minute in adults.
Starts beating from 23 days age of intra uterine lifeand keeps beating until.
It beats 1,00,000 times a day and 2.5 billion times in life time (on average)
3. What it does?
Circulates oxygen rich blood to each and every cell of our body.
Right sidecollects oxygen poor blood from the body and sends to lungs to get more oxygen and get rid off carbon di oxide.
Left heart receives oxygen rich blood from the lungs & re circulates it to the muscles and organs.
4. Why does it break?
Coronary arteries supply oxygenated blood to heart muscles.
Any block in the arteries chest pain/ death depending upon the block level.
5. Block!! Why?
Fats get deposited in the inner walls of the arteries-called plaques.
Plaques are combination of

1. Nidana parivarjanam-avoid the causative factors.

Have old rice, green gram, barley, meet of animals with less fat, horse gram, snake gourd, bitter gourd, ash gourd, butter milk of goat and sheep, old jaggery in regular diet
Have more vegetables and fruits-high fibre diet reduces the risk
Large quantities of onion and garlic decrease blood lipids and glucose, increase clot dissolution
Limit coffee consumptioncoffee increases-BP, LDL cholesterol, TG and heart disease
