WEB 2.0The term "Web 2.0" (2004–present) is commonly associated with web applications that facilitate interactive information sharing, interoperability, user-centered design,[1] and collaboration on the World Wide Web. Examples of Web 2.0 include web-based communities, hosted services, web applications, social-networking sites, video-sharing sites, wikis, blogs, mashups, and folksonomies. A Web 2.0 site allows its users to interact with other users or to change website content, in contrast to non-interactive websites where users are limited to the passive viewing of information that is provided to them.

Longtail
The Long Tail or long tail refers to the statistical property that a larger share of population rests within the tail of a probability distribution than observed under a 'normal' or Gaussian distribution. This has gained popularity in recent times as a retailing concept describing the niche strategy of selling a large number of unique items in relatively small quantities – usually in addition to selling fewer popular items in large quantities. The concept was popularised by Chris Anderson in an October 2004 Wired magazine article, in which he mentioned Amazon.com and Netflix as examples of businesses applying this strategy.[1][2] Anderson elaborated the Long Tail concept in his book The Long Tail: Why the Future of Business Is Selling Less of More (ISBN 1-4013-0237-8).[3]

Mashup1. Digital media content containing any or all of text, graphics, audio, video and animation drawn from pre-existing sources, to create a new derivative work. 2 Web or cloud computing based applications are a combination of separate parts brought together with the use of the open architecture of Application Programming Interfaces API. For example, a mashup between Google Maps and Weather.com could be made available as an iphone application, where the content and context of that content are drawn from outside sources through the published API.

• The Baby Boomers are the generation that was born following World War II, generally from 1943 up to the early 1960s, a time that was marked by an increase in birth rates. The term "baby boomer" is sometimes used in a cultural context. (...) One of the features of Boomers was that they tended to think of themselves as a special generation, very different from those that had come before them. In the 1960s, as the relatively large numbers of young people became teenagers and young adults, they, and those around them, created a very specific rhetoric around their cohort, and the change they were bringing about.
• Generation X, commonly abbreviated to Gen X, is the generation born after the Western Post–World War II baby boom. Demographers, historians and commentators use beginning birth dates from the early 1960s to the early 1980s.The term has also been used in different times and places for a number of different subcultures or countercultures since the 1950s."Millennials", or the Millennial Generation, also known as "Generation Y", are the demographic cohort following Generation X. This generation has birth dates ranging from 1981 to 1994
• Generation Z is a name used for the cohort of people born from 1995 to 2009 who are distinct from the preceding Millennial Generation. Alternate names include: iGeneration, Gen Tech, Gen Wii, Net Gen, Digital Natives, Gen Next, Post Gen
• Generation Alpha is the name of the generation born from 2010 to the present day.

Since 1995, Gartner has used hype cycles to characterize the over-enthusiasm or "hype" and subsequent disappointment that typically happens with the introduction of new technologies.[2] Hype cycles also show how and when technologies move beyond the hype, offer practical benefits and become widely accepted. According to Gartner, hype cycles aim to separate the hype from the reality, and enable CIOs and CEOs to decide whether or not a particular technology is ready for adoption. A longer-term historical perspective on such cycles can be found in the research of the economist Carlota Perez.
Gartner, Inc. (NYSE: IT) is an information technology research and advisory firm headquartered in Stamford, Connecticut. It was known as GartnerGroup until 2001.[

Trends 2015/16
Technology trends are disruptive trends. Even within tech though, there are different levels of disruption.
According to Gartner vice president and fellow David Cearley, in the earliest stages of a disruptive technology’s life-cycle it’s uncertain what impact it will have. From there, its impact
is clarified and becomes clear and finally it starts to go mainstream. If a business allows a disruptive competitor to get to this final point then it’s almost inevitably too late.

1. Computing EverywhereAs mobile devices continue to proliferate, Gartner predicts an increased emphasis on serving the needs of the mobile user in diverse contexts and environments, as opposed to focusing on devices alone.
“Phones and wearable devices are now part of an expanded computing environment that includes things like consumer electronics and connected screens in the workplace and public space,”
“Increasingly, it’s the overall environment that needs to adapt to the requirements of the mobile user. This will continue to raise significant management challenges for IT organisations as they lose control of user endpoint devices. It will also require increased attention to user experience design.”

2. The Internet of Things (IoT)
The ubiquity of user-oriented computing will continue to be mirrored in industrial and operational contexts. “This is central to digital business products and processes. Deep embedding of technology will create touch points for users everywhere and create the foundation for digital business,”

3. 3D Printing3D printing will reach a tipping point over the next three years as the market for relatively low-cost 3D printing devices continues to grow rapidly and industrial use expands significantly. New industrial, biomedical and consumer applications will continue to demonstrate that 3D printing is a real, viable and cost-effective means to reduce costs through improved designs, streamlined prototyping and short-run manufacturing.

4. Advanced, Pervasive, Invisible AnalyticsAnalytics will take centre stage as the volume of data generated by embedded systems increases and vast pools of structured and unstructured data inside and outside the organisation are analysed. “Every app now needs to be an analytic app,” Organisations need to manage how best to filter the huge amounts of data coming from the IoT, social media and wearable devices, and then deliver exactly the right information to the right person, at the right time. Analytics will become deeply, but invisibly embedded everywhere. “Big data remains an important enabler for this trend but the focus needs to shift to thinking about big questions and big answers first and big data second – the value is in the answers, not the data,”
Trends 2015lunedì 10 novembre 14

5. Context-Rich SystemsUbiquitous embedded intelligence combined with pervasive analytics will drive the development of systems that are alert to their surroundings and able to respond appropriately. “Context-aware security is an early application of this new capability, but others will emerge,”.
“By understanding the context of a user request, applications can not only adjust their security response but also how information is delivered to the user, greatly simplifying an increasingly complex computing world.”

6. Smart Machines Deep analytics applied to an understanding of context provide the preconditions for a world of smart machines. This foundation combines with advanced algorithms that allow systems to understand their environment, learn for themselves, and act autonomously.
“Prototype autonomous vehicles, advanced robots, virtual personal assistants and smart advisors already exist and will evolve rapidly, ushering in a new age of machine helpers. The smart machine era will be the most disruptive in the history of IT,”

7. Cloud/Client ArchitectureThe convergence of cloud and mobile computing will continue to promote the growth of centrally coordinated applications that can be delivered to any device. “Cloud is the new style of elastically scalable, self-service computing and both internal applications and external applications will be built on this new style,” .
“While network and bandwidth costs may continue to favour apps that use the intelligence and storage of the client device effectively, co-ordination and management will be based in the cloud.” In the near term the focus for cloud/client will be on synchronising content and application state across multiple devices and addressing application portability across devices. Over time applications will evolve to support simultaneous use of multiple devices.“The second screen phenomenon today focuses on coordinating television viewing with use of a mobile device. In the future, games and enterprise applications alike will use multiple screens and exploit wearables and other devices to deliver an enhanced experience,”

8. Software-Defined Infrastructureand Applications
Agile programming of everything from applications to basic infrastructure is essential to enable organisations to deliver the flexibility required to make the digital business work. Software defined networking, storage, data centres and security are maturing. Cloud services are software configurable through application programming interface (API) calls,
Trends 2015
Agile software development is a group of software development methods in which requirements and solutions evolve through collaboration between self-organizing, cross-functional teams. It promotes adaptive planning, evolutionary development, early delivery, continuous improvement and encourages rapid and flexible response to change. Note-It is a conceptual framework that focuses on frequently delivering small increments of working software.

9. Web-Scale ITWeb-scale IT is a pattern of global-class computing that delivers the capabilities of large cloud service providers within an enterprise IT setting. “More organisations will begin thinking, acting and building applications and infrastructure like web giants such as Amazon, Google and Facebook,
Web-scale IT does not happen immediately but will evolve over time as commercial hardware platforms embrace the new models and cloud-optimised and software-defined approaches reach mainstream. “The first step towards the web-scale IT future for many organisations should be DevOps – bringing development and operations together in a coordinated way to drive rapid, continuous incremental development of applications and services,”

SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENTLOGISTICA INTEGRATA
fine di comprendere più approfonditamente le esigenze dei consumatori;
• la pianificazione della domanda, per realizzare piani di azione più attendibili e precisi e ridurre il numero di resi reverse logistics;
quindi il conseguente utilizzo ottimale degli impianti;

miglioramento continuo dei processi e all'utilizzo ottimale
progettazione, test, produzione e vendita.
fasi devono ruotare costantemente, tenendo

Businessintelligence Data
https://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Business_intelligence

Inditex, the Spanish parent of the Zara chain of “fast fashion” retail outlets, is perhaps the most famous example of supply chain agility.
The company has been able to speed up design, production and delivery, allowing it to deliver“on-trend” clothes at bargain prices to broad audiences. Zara ascertains demand by using sales data from its retail outlets. Instead of manufacturing in Asia, like most of its competitors, Zara makes most of its goods in Spain and nearby locales inEurope.
However, in order to react on the rapid change in consumer demand, Zara has developed an efficient agile supply chain, with all designers, buyer experts and management in one place and production facilities close to them, assuring full flexibility and agility.

AGILE

The anticipated location of packages might be determined by analysing various “business
variables”, according to the patent. Data that could be
analysed to determine customer demand for a particular pre-
shipped package to help decide where to route it geographically could include historical buying
patterns, preferences expressed explicitly via surveys/
questionnaires, demographic data, browsing habits, wish-lists
and so on.

timely management of inventory items, for example by allowing packages to
begin flowing towards potential customers in advance of actual orders.
