● 常夏の国。東京の8月と同じ気温。34℃。湿度は低い。Tシャツ1枚で十分。外を歩くとかなり汗をかきます。Tropical countries. The same temperature as the August of Tokyo. 34 ℃. The humidity is low.Enough with a single T-shirt. Sweat comes out and walk outside.

● 一般参加費35シンガポールドル（1,500円）。学生10シンガポールドル。General participation fee 35 Singapore dollar.Students １０dollar.

● Speakerが２２０人以上も集まる1大イベント。ジャンルが多岐に渡り過ぎ。This is a big event that Speakers will gather more than 220 people.There are a lot of OSS areas

Fossasia申請～参加登録～発表 Application – Registration - Presentatins

● シンガポールのOSS イベント１回/年Singapore OSS events once / year

● 1月に募集して3月開催January held in recruiting in March.

● インド及び周辺諸国から発表者が集う東南アジア最大OSSイベントMaximum OSS event presenter gather from India and neighboring countries.

● 規模はOSC名古屋～京都相当（参加8００人、3日間推定2,0００人？）Scale OSC Nagoya～Kyoto as equivalent (Registration 800 people, 2,000 estimated 3 days?)

● 申請先はWeb経由。参加費が非常にハイコスト。一見さんお断り。Application destination is apply at the Web,High participation fee. Beginner refuse？

● 会場参加にはEventbriteで事前登録が必要。会場入口でチェックされます。It requires pre-registration to the Venue participants. It will be checked at the venue entrance.

● チャンギ国際空港は24Hr運営の東南アジア1大ハブ空港。Changi International Airport is Southeast Asia's largest hub airport of the 24-hour operation.

● チャンギ国際空港から中心部までMRT１時間、会場サイエンスセンターまで２時間弱MRT1 hours from Changi International Airport to central Singapore, is a little less than 2 hours until the Science Center of Fossasia venue.

● 日本からシンガポールまで直行便で６時間半。夜間に移動するルートをお勧め。There is 6 and a half hours by direct flight from Japan to Singapore.Flights are recommended to move at night.

● シンガポールの科学博物館、Science Centerが会場Science of Singapore Museum, Science Center Singapore is venue.

● かなりのダンジョン。皆で迷子続出。地図なし不親切極まりない。 Awesome is a complex maze in the Science Center.Everyone are all lost.

● 全員で写真撮影しました。ほんの僅かですが僕も集合写真で写っています。Participants were photographed with everyone.I also reflected in the small photo

● 本来４５分の資料を２０分の発表に合わせて短縮。Shortened to fit the presentation materials of the original 45 minutes to the announcement of 20 minutes.

● 視聴者 推定８０人前後。Audience estimated about 80 people. Thank you very much.

● OSCやCocon、NetBSDと日本人の活動の宣伝資料I also announced promotional materials of the activities of the OSC Japan, OpenCocon,NetBSD by Japanese.

● 今回は発表の関係上、Hardware IoTの会議室に聴講しましたThis time, on the relationship of the presentation, we listened to the conference room of the Hardware and IoT.

● 並行数が多く全部を見るのは無理なので一部抜粋Excerpt part because to see all many concurrent number of unreasonable

Fossasia2016 exhibition booth● 展示ブースは多分スポンサー限定。当然企業ばかりになります。

ブース出展したい場合はスポンサーになるしかないかも。Exhibition booth is probably sponsor limited. Course will be only to companies.It may only become sponsors if you want to booth.

● DebianやRedHat一部コミュニティと企業が出展。RaspberryPi宣伝など。Such as some community and corporate exhibitors Debian and RedHat. There RaspberryPi publicity from RedHat.

● 日本みたいに展示に力を入れる文化はまだないのが残念Regrettable that culture is not yet to put a force on the exhibition like a Japan

● 自己申請アンカンファレンス形式のセミナーは日本では殆どありませんが、海外ではメジャーなプレゼンテーションの方式です。Self application Unconference of the seminar is not mostly in Japan, is the method of major presentations abroad.

● 懇親会みたいな感じで招待客（Speaker）で屋上バーベキュー● ネームプレートを見て「他にも日本人いるから、是非来いよ」と誘われ● バーベキューは中華と海鮮とあひる焼き。さながら殆ど香港？● 日本人のNTTの上原氏と二人で歓談しつつお酒飲んでいました。● 皆様、肉食ったら観光したい為、さっさと夜の街に消えて行きましたw

● インドの女の子が民族衣装でダンスを披露。かわいい。会場を盛り上げます。

● さながらオッサン共の撮影会へと。Speakerは外国人が多いので楽しみました。

● MakeLaboの高須氏がビール寄贈。会場を盛り上げました。

21シンガポールの食文化● 中華が殆どですが、基本的に何でもあります。香港みたい● 多分化国家の宗教上か鶏肉料理が多数。あひる焼き● 和食も沢山、どこに行ってもセブンイレブンあり。

23シンガポールのバス怖い？● シンガポールはバスが極度に発達しており、メイン● 数百の路線の場所、金額が表示されないので怖い。● GoogleMapで検索し、居場所を確認しながら移動

電源コネクタと変圧器（２２０V）に注意● 日本と違いイギリスタイプの２２０V電源と三叉コネクタ● 変圧器と三叉コネクタは必ず日本で買って持ち込みましょう。

● 変圧器の容量は降圧の関係上で使用する電気機器の２倍を準備します。

● 現地の電気屋に行けば売っていますが、そもそも電気屋が殆ど無い。入手困難

● ホテルや会場、空港や喫茶店でも電源がありますので持ち込むと良いです。

25格安でシンガポールに行くには？● ３月にシンガポールに行くには旅費が非常に高い。● 格安直行便を探すかLCCを乗り継ぐか。高いです。

● やっぱり名前だけだと直接の面識が無い限り相手が分からないので、なかなか技術的な会話が進みません。Since the name I do not know the other party unless direct acquaintance is and just, I will not let quite technical conversation.

27　まとめ　Summary● 東南アジア、インド圏、欧米と沢山の参加者が集まる一大イベント。マーケティングに最適。

● 東南アジア、欧米の皆様も日本と全く同じでIT関係の趣味は国境がなさそうです。

● 完全英語圏なので、日本人から見ても会話や案内に非常に便利です。

● 様々な分野のセッションがありどれもコアな内容。専門家向け。

● ARMハッキングのネタは人気があり沢山の方々のご聴講がありました。

● Fossasiaではセミナー主体でエンジニアや学者の参加率が非常に高いです。

● 主催者側の段取りが悪くメール返信一切なし。会場ダンジョン。不親切この上ない。

● 非常に参加費が高く敷居が高い。旅費を考えると日本からの参加は非常に厳しい。LCCの予約は2～3ヶ月以上前から予定を組みましょう。（成田、関空他）Let's set an appointment from the previous 2-3 months or more. (Narita, Kansai, etc.)

● ３月は卒業旅行など観光シーズン高い。安くシンガポールに移動する方法ないかなと模索中

● いざシンガポールへ発表しに行きましょう。あひる焼き
