BLACKBERRY 10 LAUNCH (CONSUMER & ENTERPRISE)Lead Director for Brand Strategy and Communications for the successful 2013 Global launch program for the new BlackBerry 10 platform. This launch program with a “Keep Moving” theme was BlackBerry’s largest, fully-integrated marketing program, utilizing multi-media across owned, earned, and paid digital, off-line media, full social media initiatives, paid endorsements and sponsorships, plus fully integrated sales programs with retail and carrier partners. I was instrumental in integrating together all the marketing and sales group silos within BlackBerry to ensure delivery of the most powerful and efficient, integrated launch campaign across 21 markets.

BLACKBERRY CONSUMER LAUNCH CAMPAIGNLead executive for development of BlackBerry’s first significant consumer marketing campaign. BlackBerry developed consumer-focused smartphones in response to the iPhone and Android introductions. In 2009, BlackBerry launched the “Love What You Do” campaign with a strong emotional expression to celebrate people’s passion for what they do. However, this initial launch campaign did not link the BlackBerry brand strongly enough to the proposition. When I joined BlackBerry in 2010, I re-launched the campaign with a better link to the brand’s productivity and communications core experiences. This ensured the emotional connection and celebration of one’s love for what they do was strongly tied to BlackBerry. This campaign successfully launched BlackBerry 7 smartphones, expanded the appeal of BlackBerry Messenger (BBM), and was instrumental in establishing the BlackBerry World store and BlackBerry multimedia experiences and apps.
