Media

A. Media is the plural form of the word "Medium"

B. It is the medium to get inform, educate and entertain

C. Media as Fourth Estate in a Democracy.

DevelopmentA. A process of change. i.e. Political, Social, Psychological etc.

B. It is a process of getting prosperity in relation to lifestyle and income level or personal satisfaction.

C. Development is a positive connotation which represents the positive change

DemocracyA. It's a system of government.

B. It's a government "of the people, by the people, for the people"

C. The term made up from two Greek word "demos & kratein", which means People and to govern or to rule.

Interrelation between Media, Development & Democracy

A. Media should act a liaison or bridge.

B. Media person should act as change agents.

C. Media should facilitate and promote development.

Background of the studyA. It's a theoretical paper basically based on the available literature related to field media, democracy and development.

B. This paper is representing the broader outlook of how media is playing a key and an instrumental role in democratic society or how much media’s role are important in maximizing the level of satisfaction of the residers of the society.
