Wright built a portfolio of 1,000 buildings, 500 of which are still currently standing

Wright is noted for co-founding the architecture design style known as “Prairie school style” which gained its name from the horizontal lines representing the land around Chicago

He has works of art in Japan and Egypt along with the U.S.

He was born June 8, 1867 and died April 9, 1959 and still known as one of the most influential architects in the modern world

Spring House Continued The Spring house is listed as on of the top ten most endangered

historic buildings in Florida

It is located in Tallahassee Florida on Okeeheepkee road

The Spring House was designed by Frank Lloyd Wright for the Lewis family

It was designed to be fairly cheap but have many rooms to provide enough room for the entire family

It is modeled in a hemicycle style often seen in the renaissance era. This style made the Spring House appear more spacious then it truly was

Donations The spring house is slowly weathering away and without

help from the community, it will not be here for to much longer

If you visit www.preservespringhouse.org you can donate money to help the cause of preserving this endangered historic building

You can also help without offering cash donations, they need all the volunteers they can get to help prepare the grounds for the monthly tour, remove invasive species, and do other form of yard preparation

Imperial Hotel, Japan The courtyard entrance is an open

space with a court size pond centered at the heart of the entry way

the corridors are lined with lipstick red carpeting with brick and stone pillars serving as flying buttresses.

The hotel was one of the only buildings to withstand the devastating earthquake in 1923 and continues to be one of Wrights most notable career works.
