Safety Measures refers to methods and measures for reducing the risk of a person using the road network for being killed or seriously injured. The users of a road include pedestrians, cyclists, motorists, their passengers, and passengers of on-road public transport, mainly buses and trams.

SAFETY MEASURES FOR ACCIDENTS ON ROAD.......

Road safety is a collective effort of the government and people. While the government administration must leave no stone unturned in ensuring proper condition of the roads and enforcing strict adherence to traffic rules.

Responsible driving and the right attitude of people with respect to traffic rules   is perhaps the first step on the long road to 100% safety on the roads.

PRECAUTION ON ROAD Wear seat belts. Seat belts are life

saving. A statistic has revealed that 63% of those who died in accidents had not strapped on their seat belts, while driving.

Obey traffic rules and signs- Traffic rules have been

designed with safety foremost in mind.

Reflectors- To be used on the rear of the vehicle. Ensure all lamps are in working condition. Hazard lamp should be switched on when the vehicle is parked on a highway.

It also helps in winters

when there is heavy fog.

Avoid alcohol while driving- Alcohol can slow down reflexes, disrupt accurate judgments, and cause mental alertness to dip. They have been the reason behind many fatal road accidents.

SAFETY MEASURES FOR ACCIDENT IN SCHOOL..... Most of the accidents occur among the children during the age group of 6 to 15, when they spend most of their time in the school campus. So the school plays a great role in preventing the common accidents which lead to perma nent disability in some cases.

The common accidents in the school are:-

FIRE:-Sometimes short-circuit take place at that time school should be ready to

deal with fire.

EARTHQUAKES- At that time the students and staff in the school should evacuate immediately before any hazard happens. Mock drills should be organised.
