Legrand

Generation 1 Part 3- Huzzah

Page 2: The Legrand Legacy: Chapter 3

In the last chapter the kids became toddlers and then children. Anette had to get a job to support her family. She then got pregnant again. I’m also stuck living with shadows of people in Veronaville.Over all, this doesn’t sound like it will be very fun…

Page 3: The Legrand Legacy: Chapter 3

“What was I thinking? She already has four.” I banged my head on the desk again. “I was just trying to increase her aspiration meter…”

Page 4: The Legrand Legacy: Chapter 3

“It’s your own fault.”“I know Romeo.”“And you also know…” he began.

Page 5: The Legrand Legacy: Chapter 3

“Yes, I know that you’re a loose end from before the remake of my mini-verse.” I interrupted. “You’ve only told me twenty times. And I don’t care about some new deal you are offering in exchange to not bug my sims. I won’t accept it.”

Page 6: The Legrand Legacy: Chapter 3

He approached me. “I think you’ll want to here my new offer.”“You know what, I sincerely doubt it. Must I remind you, again, that you can’t leave this house. And that the real Romeo that actually could do something to them, wouldn’t even know about this deal, and therefore, would not conform to it.”Romeo reached his hand up.

Page 7: The Legrand Legacy: Chapter 3

I slapped it away.“Hands off, you weirdo. And while your at it, leave me alone.”I turned around and walked out the door, down the stairs, and outside. The glimpses couldn’t bother me there.

Sometimes I wish they would understand that I’m not in complete control. I write the plots, and whatnot, but sometimes it writes itself. Sometimes the characters write the story.

Page 9: The Legrand Legacy: Chapter 3

So she wasn’t open for negotiation. He hadn’t really expected any of the deals to work, but he had given her a chance, after all, it made things more interesting. Limitations, ha. All he had to do was wait.

Back at the legacy house…

Brielle went out walking before school.

“Oh look! It’s a pretty black and white kitty!” Brielle exclaimed.

Page 12: The Legrand Legacy: Chapter 3

“Kitty, do you have a home? I’ll pet you and you can be my kitty. You can sleep under my bed and eat table scraps…”

Page 13: The Legrand Legacy: Chapter 3

“EEEK!” Brielle screamed. She ran inside with tears in her eyes, and deposited her outdoor things. In her haste, she nearly ran over her mom.

Page 14: The Legrand Legacy: Chapter 3

“Mommy, black and white kitties are mean.” Brielle cried.Anette covered her nose. “Elle,” said Anette’s muffled voice. “That was a skunk, please go shower.”

“Okay.” Brielle sniffled.

Page 15: The Legrand Legacy: Chapter 3

After her shower, Brielle sat down for breakfast, leftover hamburgers.“I’ve decided that skunks are from outer space. Since they can’t go home, they are very sad, and when someone reminds them that they don’t have a home, they get very upset.”“Elle, I don’t think skunks are from outer space.” Anette said. Brielle scratched her chin.“Why else would the skunk have been mean to me?”“It thought you were going to hurt it.”

Page 16: The Legrand Legacy: Chapter 3

“But I would never hurt them, so they must be aliens.”Anette sighed. She saw no reason to tell Brielle she was wrong.

“Elle, I think that’s the school bus horn.

Page 17: The Legrand Legacy: Chapter 3

As Desi climbed up the stairs she looked at the bus driver and almost tripped.

“You’re smile is really creepy, bus driver. I’m just glad that I’m almost a teenager. Then I don’t have to see it again.”

Page 18: The Legrand Legacy: Chapter 3

“Hey Desi,” Anton called. “That means the High School tour is today, right?”

“Oooh,” Brielle said. “I can’t wait!”

Page 19: The Legrand Legacy: Chapter 3

When they got home, Desiree and Charnell sat down to get their homework out of the way.

“Honestly, why do we have homework when we were gone on a field trip all day. It’s like they are trying to take the fun out of the trip.”

Page 20: The Legrand Legacy: Chapter 3

“I think they are trying to make us think of High School in a negative way. How would you answer this ‘What was the worst part of the trip?’ I really enjoyed it, how am I supposed to say something was bad?” Charnell said scratching her head.

Page 21: The Legrand Legacy: Chapter 3

Desiree erased one of her snarky responses and blew away the eraser bits left on the page.“That one was easy. I said it was that bus driver’s creepy smile.”

Page 22: The Legrand Legacy: Chapter 3

Charnell chewed at her tongue.

“I think I’ll just put that they didn’t have any candy. The teacher will buy that, right?”

Page 23: The Legrand Legacy: Chapter 3

“Sure thing. She’ll buy anything that sounds childish. I bet she would think someone else did it for us if we said something even remotely practical.”

Page 24: The Legrand Legacy: Chapter 3

That night…

“Phil! PHIL!!!” Anette screamed. “Come here QUICKLY.”

Page 25: The Legrand Legacy: Chapter 3

“Twin boys. That makes three of each gender. Nice and even.” Francois played with his mother’s hair as Edouard lay staring up at her.

Where are we going to find the money. Phil still hasn’t got a promotion.

Page 26: The Legrand Legacy: Chapter 3

“Eww. Baby brothers.”

Page 27: The Legrand Legacy: Chapter 3

Pretty soon it was the next day and the kids had left for school.“What’s this?” Phil asked as he picked up the lamp at his door. He had been meaning to look through the newspaper for easy jobs. That way he could get some spare cash so Anette wouldn’t have to worry anymore.

Page 28: The Legrand Legacy: Chapter 3

Purple smoke enveloped Phil, and when it dispersed a genie was there.“Huzzah, I am the awesomely powerful genie, here to grant you three wishes.”

Phil thought hard about what they needed.

Page 29: The Legrand Legacy: Chapter 3

“Powerful genie, can you give me a promotion, so that I can provide for my wife and six children?” He pleaded.“I cannot promote you, but I can give you wealth. Would you like that?”Phil thought about it. He wanted to be able to provide for his family indefinitely, and wealth couldn’t do that. But, at least it could keep them going.“Okay, that sounds good.”

Page 30: The Legrand Legacy: Chapter 3

“Happy birthday!” Anette said. The four birthday kids smiled.“I have a special surprise for you guys after cake, okay?”“Why do we have to wait?” Charnell asked.“Dad wanted to be here to see your faces,” Anette said.

Page 31: The Legrand Legacy: Chapter 3

Anette clapped as her quads blew out their candles and wiggled into teenhood.

Page 32: The Legrand Legacy: Chapter 3

“Nice dress,” Anton said to Charnell.“Maybe if I was a gypsy, but I rather like Brielle’s Kimono.”Brielle giggled. “Really? Maybe I should wear it to school tomorrow.” “Those shoes will kill your feet,” Desiree said, missing the playful banter.“Okay,” Anette said. “We can go shopping while we wait for your father.

Page 33: The Legrand Legacy: Chapter 3

Phil was just getting out of the car when they arrived home after the shopping trip.“Dad, you’re home!” Brielle shouted and gave him a big hug.”“Wow, my girls have gotten big.”“Mom’s taking forever. When is this surprise?” Desiree asked.

Page 34: The Legrand Legacy: Chapter 3

“So mom, where is this surprise?” Desiree asked, rather impatiently, when Anette emerged.“Just count to three and turn around.”“Okay,” Chirped Brielle.“This sounds stupid…” Disiree said.

Page 35: The Legrand Legacy: Chapter 3

They all turned and gaped.“Its…huge.” Desiree said, turning back to her mother.“Mom, I thought you said we were barely making by?” Charnell asked.“True, but your dad found a genie. Now there is enough space for all of you, though you will still have to share rooms,” Anette explained.

Page 36: The Legrand Legacy: Chapter 3

Pretty soon babys were put to bed and everyone was headed in that direction, too.“I see you went back to curls already.”“Yeah. They just seemed to be me.”“Good. You look better in curls.”And with that final conversation, everyone went to sleep.

Page 37: The Legrand Legacy: Chapter 3

Well, almost.“Phil, you were right. Things do work themselves out.”“ZZZZZZZ”

I believe that wraps things up for this chapter. I know not very much happened, but it just seems right to end here. Until next time.
