The U Crate 280 is available in most major cities in the USA and delivered to your home already built and with a plastic cover over it courtesy of our friends at Door to Door who specialize in domestic moving and storage.

It will be put on your driveway or other hard standing area. You will be given a lock so your items will be safe in the crate. Load your boxes & things in the U Crate in your own time. When you are ready we will collect the U Crate. Truck it to our shipping terminal. Load it into a shipping container. Ship it to the destination port. Clear it through customs. Deliver the crate to a terminal for you to collect or deliver contents via a moving

company into your residence. Please note other countries around the world do not have the capability to deliver

these large crates onto the ground. Your U Crate 280 will either arrive on a truck and the moving crew will deliver the contents into your ground floor residence or in some cases depending on access, truck size and other factors possibly unload crate contents into a moving van and the delivery crew will deliver into your ground floor residence.

Specifications: U Crate 280

Once Booked……Door to Door will truck the U Crate 280 to your address. We need 2 weeks notice. The truck comes with a forklift that will then place the U Crate 280 on the ground for you to load.When you book with us, we will schedule both the delivery and pickup dates of the U Crate 280 for your planning purposes. Keep in mind, you’ll have up to a week to load all your possessions in there. Make sure everything is packed and wrapped well and labelled with your name and item number. Try and pack everything in there tight so nothing can move around. Treat it as an adult game of Tetris! You don’t need to pack it to the ceiling but definitely make sure everything is tight side to side and front to back.

When you are readyThe U Crate 280 is great for mattresses, sofas and chairs. Make sure they are protected in plastic bags and then for best protection wrap items in moving blankets. Door to Door has supplies available that you can purchase direct from them and can deliver them to you with the U Crate 280.

LoadingStart loading the pallet with the heaviest items on the bottom, and distribute weight evenly throughout the container. Make sure everything is well wrapped and has your name on each piece. There might be a gap down a side where you can load flat thin items like packed pictures or a folding chair for example. Make sure every piece has your name on it and it’s numbered to match your packing list. Any gaps, stuff with paper, bubble wrap, cardboard or blankets & pillows.

Finishing LoadingTop up with any extra bits on the top and shut the door and lock it.

Remember, these containers are specially designed to prevent mildew, condensation and mold. We use solid, construction grade wood to build the U Crate 280 containers. On top of that, they’re low to the ground (unlike a truck with a ramp), so you can easily walk into and out of the containers with your belongings, even the heavy and unwieldy bits.The containers are secure, and can be locked with a padlock that we provide you.

Ready for Shipping

It’s easy to be ready for your pre arranged pickup date! Just have your U Crate 280 locked and ready for pickup by 7am your time. You do not need to be present for this appointment, so your day is free to take care of other important details.Door to Door will collect it with a fork lift and truck back to their local terminal. At that point we then take over and arrange to truck it to our shipping terminal.

The U Crate 280 gets trucked to one of our main shipping terminals.

It gets loaded into a shipping container with lots of other UPakWeShip customers cargo.

All Aboard!

The container is then loaded on the ship and off it goes to the destination port. When the ship arrives we offload the container from the ship and take it to our local terminal.

Customs

Before delivery can take place, customs has to approve it to be allowed into the country. Customs can inspect your shipment so make sure your detailed packing list matches the items in your shipment and everything has your name on it. Make sure you watch our how to complete a packing list and if applicable the European C3 customs form both on our U Pak TV page on www.upakweship.com

Arrival Overseas

Once customs is cleared and at our overseas terminal, we have to unload all the shipments from the shipping container and start planning the deliveries.

Delivery Time

Once cleared by customs we will call you and arrange a delivery date. Where available the U Crate 280 will be loaded onto a truck and the contents then delivered off the truck and into your ground floor residence. In other cases depending on the country, customs procedures and access issues, the U Crate might be unloaded at a local warehouse and the contents loaded onto a moving van and then delivered into your ground floor residence. Storage in the crate can be arranged at most destinations if requested. You can also collect the U Crate 280 yourself from the local terminal if you wish.

Recycle! & have fun with your boxes!

After delivery, boxes can make a great play house! You can also draw on them and don’t forget to pop the bubble wrap!
