They live

underground

where they saw

the World tree, so

that it will

collapse, along

with Earth.

BEFORE CHRISTMAS

When Christmas c

omes they are

able to come to the

earth. They forget

the Tree and come

to bring trouble to

people.

DURING CHRISTMAS

People throw

doughnuts and

sausages on their

roofs on Epiphany

Day (January 6) to

please

Kallikantzaroi and

to keep them out

of their houses.

AT EPIPHANY DAY ( J A N U A R Y 6 )

Finally, on

the Epiphany

(January 6) they

must go

underground again

to continue their

sawing.
