ヨハネ/John 1:18

いまだかつて神を見た者はいない。父のふところにおられるひとり子の神が、神を説き明かされたのである。

No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is himself God and is in closest relationship with the

Father, has made him known.

ヨハネ/John 9:1-2

1 またイエスは道の途中で、生まれつきの盲人を見られた。2 弟子たちは彼についてイエスに質問して言った。「先生。彼が盲目に生まれついたのは、だれが罪を犯したから

ですか。この人ですか。その両親ですか。 As he went along, he saw a man blind from birth. 2 His disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his

parents, that he was born blind?”

悪いことが起きるのは、 いつでも悪いことをした結果だ

Bad things happen always because of what I have done wrong.

ヨハネ/John 9:3

イエスは答えられた。 「この人が罪を犯したのでもなく、両親でもありません。

!“Neither this man nor his parents sinned,” said Jesus,

神のわざがこの人に現れるためです。“but this happened so that

the works of God might be displayed in him.

痛みには目的がある。 Pain has a purpose.

1. 神様は時として、私達の痛みを通して、 ご自身の力を表すことを選ばれる。 God sometime chooses to display

His power through our pain.

ヨハネ/John 9:6

イエスは、こう言ってから、地面につばきをして、 そのつばきで泥を作られた。

After saying this, he spit on the ground, made some mud with the saliva,

ヨハネ/John 9:6-7

…そしてその泥を盲人の目に塗って言われた。 7「行って、シロアム(訳して言えば、遣わされた者)の池で洗いなさい。」そこで、彼は行って、洗った。すると、

見えるようになって、帰って行った。 and put it on the man’s eyes.

7 “Go,” he told him, “wash in the Pool of Siloam” (this word means “Sent”). So the man went and washed, and

came home seeing.

ヨハネ/John 9:8-11

8 近所の人たちや、前に彼が物ごいをしていたのを 見ていた人たちが言った。

「これはすわって物ごいをしていた人ではないか。」 His neighbors and those who had formerly seen him

begging asked, “Isn’t this the same man who used to sit and beg?”

ヨハネ/John 9:8-11

9 ほかの人は、「これはその人だ」と言い、またほかの人は、「そうではない。ただその人に似ているだけだ」と言っ

た。当人は、「私がその人です」と言った。 9 Some claimed that he was. Others said, “No, he only looks like him.” But he himself insisted, “I am the man.”

10 そこで、彼らは言った。 「それでは、あなたの目はどのようにしてあいたのですか。」

10 “How then were your eyes opened?” they asked.

ヨハネ/John 9:8-11

11 彼は答えた。「イエスという方が、泥を作って、私の目に塗り、『シロアムの池に行って洗いなさい』と私に言われました。それで、行って洗うと、見えるようになりま

した。」 11 He replied, “The man they call Jesus made some mud and put it on my eyes. He told me to go to Siloam and wash. So I went and washed, and then I could see.”

ヨハネ/John 9:12

12 また彼らは彼に言った。 「その人はどこにいるのですか。」 彼は「私は知りません」と言った。

“Where is this man?” they asked him. “I don’t know,” he said.

ヨハネ/John 9:13

彼らは、前に盲目であったその人を、 パリサイ人たちのところに連れて行った。

They brought to the Pharisees the man who had been blind.

ヨハネ/John 9:14

ところで、イエスが泥を作って彼の目をあけられたのは、安息日であった。

Now the day on which Jesus had made the mud and opened the man’s eyes was a Sabbath.

ヨハネ/John 9:15

こういうわけでもう一度、パリサイ人も彼に、どのようにして見えるようになったかを尋ねた。彼は言った。

「あの方が私の目に泥を塗ってくださって、 私が洗いました。私はいま見えるのです。」

Therefore the Pharisees also asked him how he had received his sight. “He put mud on my eyes,” the man

replied, “and I washed, and now I see.”

ヨハネ/John 9:16

すると、パリサイ人の中のある人々が、「その人は神から出たのではない。安息日を守らないからだ」と言った。 Some of the Pharisees said, “This man is not from God,

for he does not keep the Sabbath.”

ヨハネ/John 9:16-17

…しかし、ほかの者は言った。「罪人である者に、どうしてこのようなしるしを行うことができよう。」そして、彼

らの間に、分裂が起こった。 But others asked, “How can a sinner perform such

signs?” So they were divided.

ヨハネ/John 9:16-17

17 そこで彼らはもう一度、盲人に言った。「あの人が目をあけてくれたことで、あの人を何だと思っているの

か。」彼は言った。「あの方は預言者です。」 17 Then they turned again to the blind man, “What have you to say about him? It was your eyes he opened.”

The man replied, “He is a prophet.”

18 しかしユダヤ人たちは、目が見えるようになったこの人について、彼が盲目であったが見えるようになったとい

うことを信ぜず、ついにその両親を呼び出して、 18 They still did not believe that he had been blindand had received his sight until they sent for the man’s

parents.

19 尋ねて言った。「この人はあなたがたの息子で、生まれつき盲目だったとあなたがたが言っている人ですか。そ

れでは、どうしていま見えるのですか。。 19 “Is this your son?” they asked.

“Is this the one you say was born blind? How is it that now he can see?”

ヨハネ/John 9:18-22

20 そこで両親は答えた。「私たちは、これが私たちの 息子で、生まれつき盲目だったことを知っています。

21 しかし、どのようにしていま見えるのかは知りません。また、だれがあれの目をあけたのか知りません。 あれに聞いてください。あれはもうおとなです。

自分のことは自分で話すでしょう。」 20 “We know he is our son,” the parents answered, “and we know he was born blind. 21 But how he can see now, or who opened his eyes, we don’t know. Ask him. He is of

age; he will speak for himself.”

ヨハネ/John 9:18-22

22 彼の両親がこう言ったのは、ユダヤ人たちを 恐れたからであった。すでにユダヤ人たちは、 イエスをキリストであると告白する者があれば、

その者を会堂から追放すると決めていたからである。 22 His parents said this because they were afraid of the Jewish leaders, who already had decided that anyone

who acknowledged that Jesus was the Messiah would be put out of the synagogue.

23 そのために彼の両親は、「あれはもうおとなです。あれに聞いてください」と言ったのである。24 そこで彼ら

は、盲目であった人をもう一度呼び出して言った。 「神に栄光を帰しなさい。

私たちはあの人が罪人であることを知っているのだ。」 23 That was why his parents said,

“He is of age; ask him.” 24 A second time they summoned the man who had been blind. “Give glory to God by telling the truth,” they said.

“We know this man is a sinner.”

25 彼は答えた。「あの方が罪人かどうか、私は知りません。ただ一つのことだけ知っています。

25 He replied, “Whether he is a sinner or not, I don’t know. One thing I do know.

ヨハネ/John 9:25

すべてを知り理解しなくても、 信じる一歩を踏み出せる

You can take a step of faith without understanding everything.

ヨハネ/John 9:25

25 彼は答えた。「あの方が罪人かどうか、私は知りません。ただ一つのことだけ知っています。

私は盲目であったのに、今は見えるということです。 25 He replied, “Whether he is a sinner or not,

I don’t know. One thing I do know. I was blind but now I see!”

ヨハネ/John 9:26-27

26 そこで彼らは言った。「あの人はおまえに何をしたのか。どのようにしてその目をあけたのか。」27 彼は答えた。「もうお話ししたのですが、あなたがたは聞いてくれませんでした。なぜもう一度聞こうとするのです。あなた

がたも、あの方の弟子になりたいのですか。」 26 Then they asked him, “What did he do to you? How

did he open your eyes?”27 He answered, “I have told you already and you did not listen. Why do you want to hear it

again? Do you want to become his disciples too?”

ヨハネ/John 9:28-31

28 彼らは彼をののしって言った。「おまえもあの者の 弟子だ。しかし私たちはモーセの弟子だ。

28 Then they hurled insults at him and said, “You are this fellow’s disciple! We are disciples of Moses!

ヨハネ/John 9:28-31

29 私たちは、神がモーセにお話しになったことは知っている。しかし、あの者については、 どこから来たのか知らないのだ。」

29 We know that God spoke to Moses, but as for this fellow, we don’t even know where he comes from.”

ヨハネ/John 9:28-31

30 彼は答えて言った。「これは、驚きました。あなたがたは、あの方がどこから来られたのか、ご存じないと言う。しかし、あの方は私の目をおあけになったのです。31 神

は、罪人の言うことはお聞きになりません。 30 The man answered, “Now that is remarkable! You don’t know where he comes from, yet he opened my eyes. 31 We know that God does not listen to sinners.

ヨハネ/John 9:31-33

…しかし、だれでも神を敬い、そのみこころを行うなら、神はその人の言うことを聞いてくださると、私たちは知っています。32 盲目に生まれついた者の目をあけた者があ

るなどとは、昔から聞いたこともありません。 33 もしあの方が神から出ておられるのでなかったら、

何もできないはずです。 …He listens to the godly person who does his will. 32 Nobody has ever heard of opening the eyes of a man

born blind. 33 If this man were not from God, he could do nothing.”

ヨハネ/John 9:34

34 彼らは答えて言った。「おまえは全く罪の中に生まれていながら、私たちを教えるのか。

34 To this they replied, “You were steeped in sin at birth;

how dare you lecture us!”

ヨハネ/John 9:34

…そして、彼を外に追い出した。 …And they threw him out.

2. 神様は私たちの神様観を超えて、 あわれみと救いの手を伸ばされる。

God extends His mercy beyound our theology.

もしあなたが信じていることが、 あわれみを示す妨げになるなら、

あなたは神様について間違ったことを信じているのです。 If what you believe become obstacle to extend mercy,

you are believing wrong about God.

3. 神様は私たちの一人一人に 個人的な関心をもたれる。

God takes personal interest in individual people.

ヨハネ/John 9:35

35 イエスは、彼らが彼を追放したことを聞き、 彼を見つけ出して言われた。

「あなたは人の子を信じますか。」 35 Jesus heard that they had thrown him out, and when he found him, he said, “Do you believe in the Son of Man?”

ヨハネ/John 9:36

36 その人は答えた。「主よ。その方はどなたでしょうか。私がその方を信じることができますように。」

36 “Who is he, sir?” the man asked. “Tell me so that I may believe in him.”

37 イエスは彼に言われた。「あなたはその方を見たのです。あなたと話しているのがそれです。」

37 Jesus said, “You have now seen him; in fact, he is the one speaking with you.”

38 彼は言った。 「主よ。私は信じます。」 そして彼はイエスを拝した。

38 Then the man said, “Lord, I believe,”

and he worshiped him.
