提婆达多企图利用一头醉象杀害佛陀，不过佛陀以慈爱心的力量降伏了这头醉象奈拉吉里。Devadatta tried to kill the Buddha by setting the drunken elephant Nalagiri upon the Buddha. However the Buddha subdued the elephant with His metta or loving-kindness.
