UYLS is a premier institute for teacher training in India offering Registered Yoga Teacher - RYT 200, 300 and RYT 500

Become a Teacher at Palolem BeachYoga is an ancient technology of personal transformation. Its tools are remarkably simple, and yet, its effects are profound.

The true power of yoga lies not in the strength and vitality it gives the physical body (though this is undeniable), but rather in the profoundly positive ways it can change our entire human system. Yoga can refine the mind, clear negative emotions, create positive habits and behaviors, improve our relationships and potentially bring forth profound spiritual experiences.

UYLS is conducting these Yoga Courses at one of the most beautiful beach in the world - Colomb, Palolem, Goa. Colomb - Palolem Beach is largely unspoiled and is inhabited by both local fishermen and by foreign tourists who live in shacks along the shore or in the main village itself. It is about one mile (approximately 1.61 km) long and is crescent-shaped; one can view the entire beach from either end. Both ends of the beach consist of rocks jutting out into the sea. The depth of the sea increases gradually, being shallowest at the northern end of the beach, making it safe for average swimmers, as the currents too are not very fast.

The beach is featured as the Goan residence of Jason Bourne (Matt Damon) in the film The Bourne Supremacy (2004). The initial footage in the movie gives a good idea of the natural beauty of the beach - the distinctive tree covered rocks at one end (known locally as Green Island -

to which tours are run) and beach shacks. At the top of the island adjoining Palolem Beach there is a stone sculpture created by an American conceptual and land artist Jacek Tylicki called "Give if you can – Take if you have to" also called the "Money Stone". It became a pilgrimage destination. At the low tide it is a tough jungle walk and a guide is recommended. People can leave or take money at will at the Money Stone. (From Wikipedia)

Authentic TeachingsYoga is a practice that has been passed down from

one generation to the next for at least several

thousand years. It is an ancient discipline, with deep

theoretical and practical roots, and there is a rich

textual tradition that underlies and explains the

practice, its applications and its meaning.

Śri Yogendra from The Yoga Institute, Mumbai (The

oldest Yoga Institution) was one of the most

influential masters of yoga in modern times. His

knowledge of Yoga, Ayurveda, Sanskrit and the

primary Indian philosophical schools was unrivaled.

Yet the main focus of his energy and life-long work

was the study, practice and teaching of therapeutic

Yoga for supporting health, healing, and personal

transformation of house-holders.

Pundit Ji has studied in this tradition in 90’s and his

immediate guru is Dr. Jaydev Yogendra (Son of Shri

Yogendra). Yoga is a life-long path, which provides

ongoing opportunities for learning and refinement.

To be a good teacher requires that one be actively

applying what they are teaching. UYLS teacher’s

Comprehensive, Coherent TeachingsOne of the most important aspects of Shri Yogendra’s

movement/asana, breathing techniques/praṇayama,

Beyond Information, Deeply ExperientialThe UYLS’s Teacher Training will provide you with a

How to practice and teach asana (physical postures), including

• Techniques: how to correctly practice the

main postures, in the classical way

• Primary effects and purposes of each asana /

posture

• How to adapt each posture to achieve the

proper function of the posture

• How to organize postures into different

Specifically this involves understanding the physical

requirements of each posture as well as the strain

each posture puts on the body/mind/breath and

it’s practiced, etc.

and teach different praṇayama techniques

• Praṇayama ratios: how to practice,

development and teach different breathing

ratios

How to practice and teach meditation (dhyana), including :

• Different understandings of meditation: How

to create and develop meditation practices

and how to teach them

choose them

How to practice yoga in daily life or ”off the mat”, including

• In depth learning of Patañjali’s Yogasutra. This

is the traditional main presentation of how to

live the path of yoga.

Personal Transformation, The Foundation of Teaching.Obviously, a lot of information is presented over the

course of the training, but the emphasis is always

how to apply the information and how to facilitate

the experiences. Yoga is not informational. Yoga is

experiential, it must be done, practiced and

experienced to be understood and to have an effect

on us and thus to change us. The UYLS’s training

emphasizes the practical application of yoga and its

tools. The training covers not only what the tools are,

but how to think about using them, how to

understand the way they function (according to the

traditional models within which they were created),

and how to use them. The result of this process is

self-transformation. Gradual, sustainable and

meaningful, personal transformation, achieved

through the immensely satisfying and interesting

Pundit Radheshyam MishraERYT 500, 30000 plus Hours Teaching Experience

with half a million people in 44 countries

With 23 years of extensive Yoga teaching experience,

Pundit Radheshyam Mishra has a vast and deep

know-how of Indian cultural traditions. A man with

deep urge to serve humanity and man-kind, Pundit

Ji went to various places and gurus in search of a

true path in life. He has spent his early years studying

Indian classical music, Indian Ritual Traditions,

Indian Astrology and Ayurveda, Tantra tradition and

Hath Yoga. Later he discovered that Yoga

encapsulates all the other traditions of Indian

Dr Anita ChoudharyBeing Professor and Head in the

Physiology Department of RDG

Medical College, Ujjain MP India,

Dr Anita leads a very busy life of

an Academician and Researcher.

But her interest in yoga brought

her to Ujjain Yoga Life Society. A�er learning Yoga from

there, she is rendering her selfless service to the UYLS

since its foundation and holds various positions during its

International events. Now-a-days she is trying to infuse

the yogic approach of holistic health into her medico

Ms Simmi SaxenaA very calm and quite person by

Ms Latika VyasA vibrant, charming, hardworking,

makes the asanas practice a

whether it is a routine Yoga

session, special camps or a TTC. Apart from holding

degree of Post Graduate Diploma in Yoga Education and

RYT-500 certification, academically Mrs Latika has already

submitted her Ph. D. thesis in Nutrition and Dietetics, so
