Facts
For centuries now, the subject of drying out walls and keeping them dry has been a major challenge for inhabitants of rural and urban areas.
In Austria about 400,000 buildings are currently experiencing the effects of masonry moisture. About 100,000 of these buildings are located in Vienna.Several procedures have been developed to coun-teract capillary rising moisture. Many have been
tried and rejected. Just a few have survived the tests and are still used today.
The Aquapol system has revolutionized the subject of drying out walls by working without cutting masonry, without electricity, and without chemicals. The com-petence of Aquapol Company has been confirmed by numerous reference buildings in Austria and abroad.

The field of action (clockwise pola-rized) created by the Aquapol device, which
is also encountered in Nature, causes a downward motion of masonry moisture. Moisture moves slowly back
into the ground it came from, and masonry is dried out in the sphere of influence of the AQUAPOL device, except for residual moisture.

Continuing documentation
While documenting the course of drying out, the technician notes all parameters in a log book. He measures these at the established sites as well. He also records other reasons for moisture in a layout plan. Salt measurements are taken in order to adjust the plaster work of renovation to the salt content of the wall.

The installation of the AQUAPOL system
After calculation of several parameters our technicians install the AQUAPOL system. This is accompanied by ad-ditional measurements which are documented in writing. The drill dust taken from the wall is examined with regard to its moisture content in the pre-sence of the customer accor-ding to the DARR method.
The ÖNORM B 3355 (Austrian standard) mentions the DARR method as the only valid one for precise mea-surement of masonry moisture. The measurement procedure for determination of the
exact degree of moisture has been certified by TÜV since July 2011.
The AQUAPOL efficacy test
The vertical electrical poten-tial difference is measured in the masonry one hour before and after the instal-lation. The change of this value will convince you of the instant effect of the Aquapol system.Additionally, accompanying measures for other causes of moisture are discussed.
