Sponsors annual Earth Day events that help connect current and prospective businesses and their employees to the work of our member groups

Each EarthShare of Georgia member: Is tax-exempt under 501(c)3 status Protects or conserves natural environment and

resources Is governed by an active governing body Affirms its fundraising and admin costs do not

exceed 25% (most under 10%) Affirms that contributed funds are used for stated

purpose(s) Prepares an annual report available to public Has been in existence for at least 3 years Is not a private or community foundation

ESGA Member Group Value Propositions

For every $180 Trees Atlanta receives from EarthShare of Georgia , Trees Atlanta is able to plant one shade tree in a community where it is needed most and maintain the tree for 2 years.  Each tree planted by Trees Atlanta provides more than $57,000 in benefits over a 50-year period.

EarthShare of Georgia Undesignated Funds

All undesignated contributions to EarthShare of Georgia are allocated in the following way: 60% distributed equally to Georgia member

groups 40% distributed to national member groups Earth Share of Georgia retains 17% of total

before distribution

Local member groups receive 83% of designated contributions
