I think for a UX professional to be able to make maximum impact in an agile product development environment, she needs to bring in skills from design, development as well as psychology. One would need to put all these skills together to make expression of a vision that both meets as well as exceed the user’s expectations. A designer should be well aware of the medium and the environment she works in. It is important to make quality, user centric design decisions by considering several factors that include design, architecture, development, usability and accessibility. Not being knowledgeable enough about what one is deciding can have grave impact on the outcome of the product.
It is this belief of mine that compels me to evaluate every design recommendation from a technical feasibility point of view. I hope to be able to look at the bigger picture while developing a product and bring in my knowledge from the realms of both Usability Sciences as well as Computer Science to make more convincing experiences for users.

INFO
The goal has been to design an iPad application, which empowers the HR Business Partner to prepare, run, and debrief in-person meetings in which they consult executives, managers, or employees about HR related questions with one integrated application. By making this application very specific to HR consulting, the iPad should not only be a simple data lookup application but also explicitly support typical re-occurring situations that will be identified in a round of stakeholder interviews.

Business Analytics at SAPINFO
In my present work, I lead the design and User Experience efforts within the Business Analytics Solutions team at SAP. Our products are primarily built on the BobJ BI 4.0 platform.
My challenges include working with the implementation limitations of Business Objects products like Xcelsius (for analytical dashboards), Webi (for analytical reports) and Explorer. Thus, I present my designs to developers along with implementation tips/tricks, as a result of my technical knowledge of the underlying platforms.
