DESCRIPTION

A SuperMinds 2014 Talk by Vincenzo De Florio (iMinds - PATS – UAntwerpen). Often we experience how traditional organizations are ineffective and unable to scale well to the sizes of our new “big world”. Novel and “smarter” organizations must be experimented in order to get rid of structural “lock-ins” and achieve greater scalability, robustness, manageability, and evolvability. Fractal Social Organizations are a model that, we hypothesize, may capture and conquer the hidden and fractal structure of human social organizations. Here we present our model and discuss its potential benefits.
