Written by Jacqui Sharphttp://jacquisharp.blogspot.comhttp://sharpjacqui.blogspot.com
Go to Start – All Programmes – Microsoft Office – Microsoft Office Tools – Microsoft Office Picture Manager
If you have never opened MPMbefore just click OK on the next window (it is a dialogue window asking you what picture files you want to download)
If you can’t see any photos click on the + next to My Pictures
If you know that there are more pictures on your computer that are not showing up then click on Locate pictures Locate pictures in the Getting Started Menu
This should find all your photos foryou and add them to the left handside panel
Click on a Photo. It will highlight in orange around the frame (or you might have to click on a folderthen a photo)
• Look down at the bottom left side of your screen, you will see the size of the photo you have selected
This photo is the size of 3 and a half floppy disks. Far too big to have on a website or
blog
=
Double click the photo and the editing menu should appear on the right hand side of the screen (if it doesn’t click Edit Pictures on the Toolbar at the top of the screen )
Click on Edit Pictures
Click on Compress Pictures Click on Documents At the bottom of this dialogue
box you will see Estimated total size, Original which is 3.44 MB and thecompressed which is 541 KB
If you click on Web Pagesthe estimated size will be103 KB
If you click on E-mail messagesit is 13.2 KB (way too small!)
Click OK to select the option you want!
If you are using an online Photo Editing programme like FotoFlexer you wouldn’t want a photo any bigger than 500KB because of the time it takes to upload and for the effects to take place
Blogger allows a maximum size of a huge 8MB but over a slower connection a photo of that size would take forever
So the rule for a clear photo that will not take too long to upload or download is
Yes it Yes it does!does!
You must save what you have done before you can you use it
