Why I’m not in love with Linkedin

 Not a ‘network feel’

 Pushy (wannabe) contacts

 Confusing

Choosing the right group

Screen for theme: does it fit you? Can you take something from the group and contribute as well?

Group members: isare those the people you want to share with (i.e. fellow scientists, policy makers, consultants)?

Active: is the group active or was the last discussion a workshop announcement four months ago?

Common Linkedin fears

I don’t want to share my personal things

What if I make a stupid comment in a group EVERYONE can see FOREVER?

What if person X (who I do not want to be associated with) invites me to be a friend?
