Installation

Right Click: Run as Administrator

Proceed with Installation

Start SpaceClaim

1. Go to AR‐CAD Tab

2. Open Link File

1. Copy Machine ID

2. Send Machine ID over email to info@ar‐cad.com

Activation

1. Receive email from us with license.xml file

2. Paste the license.xml file ina) Windows 7: C:\ProgramData\SpaceClaim\Addins\MicroPDMb) Windows XP: C:\Documents and Settings\All  Users\ApplicationData\SpaceClaim\Addins\MicroPDM

3. Start SpaceClaim if not running

2. Select main part or a component

2. Enter an Identifier/Name

3a. Browse to a file

3b. Type a path/website

3c. Drag and drop a file 

4. Create link1. Link File

Link File

1. Double‐click to open file/website

2. Click and edit above

3. Button to remove link

1. Right‐click on main part or a component also shows “Link File” form

2. File/website can also be opened by using context menu

1. Bulk Link Button

2. Shows a Windows Explorer to browse multiple SpaceClaim files. It can also be used to list the files from different directories

5. Link Identifier / Name

4a. Browse to a file to be linked

4b. Type a path/URL or drag‐drop a file on to the text‐box

5. Links the file/URL to all the documents in the above list. Each SpaceClaim file’s main‐part is 

linked to the file/URL and can be accessed using “Link File”

6. Clear the list and select more files to link
