Who are we?
• Providing home alarms and connected services for the smart home
• 9000 employees serving 2 million customers in 14 countries
• We are number one in Europe (Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Belgium, The Netherlands, United Kingdom, Spain, Portugal, Italy)
• Growing strongly in South America (Brazil, Peru, Chile)
Verisure Securitas Direct – Who are we?
• Live in Linköping, Sweden where the monitoring station for Sweden is located
• Manager of the Corporate Systems department in our North Platform
• Collaboration tools helping our employees to do there job better, more efficient and mobile
• Video conferencing and Enterprise Social Networking are among my top interest areas
• Love the power of social! Breaks boundaries in an organization
Who am I?
• Security and Cloud?
• More convenient Mail access though mobile and web were keydrivers
• Secure File Sharing too (more about that later on…)
A Security Company in the Cloud?
• Everything you CAN use it for!
• Wikis, Files, Meetings (video and audio)
• Information sharing
• Profiles, integration server
What are we using Connections for?
• It has just exploded! But it took a while…
• An IT Operations project to start with…so not top-driven
• Patience... “Not used to get these many options”
• Executives love to share stories…also need to like others
• “Almost irritated when getting certain emails!”
User adoption
• Can’t praise enough!
• Support, Conference calls and Meetings
• Beta programs
• Roadmaps shared
The cooperation with IBM
• There are things we have been waiting for since day 1…
• But they do deliver!
• Outlook support finally here to get rid of the (so boring) email client discussions
• The to us promised move from NA to CE datacenter now in planning
Does IBM deliver?
• Mobile app enhancements! Mobile is no 1 importance!
• 100% uptime. No maintenance windows
• Easier File sharing (We follow the Box integrations closely)
• Outlook support for Mac OSx
• Note taking application
• ”Orient me” – better start page
• Watson Cognitive delivered soon
Our Main Requirements?
• Ride on the adoption wave and…
• ...find ways to handle the loads of information
• Help users take their work to Connections
• Deliver ”TDI” – ”Security Directory Integrator”
