Bamboo Canoe Drifting (独竹漂 Sole bamboo drifting,

pronounced as ‘du zhu piao’) is a traditional folk sport

originated in Chishui River Basin of northern Guizhou,

China. A straight bamboo of diameter about 20cm is used as a canoe. The players hold a slander bamboo pole for balancing and rowing. The traditional sport includes figure contest and speed race. The bamboo canoe

drifting show is usually held in Dragon Boat Festival or

wedding ceremony.
