Nueva Zelanda es un país de Oceanía, formado por dos Islas, en el Pacifico Sur, rodeado por el mar de Tasmania y por el Océano Antártico.

Se distingue por su aislamiento geográfico, no hay cerca ningún sitio. Australia es el país mas próximo, pero “próximo” no significa colindante. Es enorme la distancia que separa a NZ de Australia.
