What is Estimation
Estimation is a tool for planning and controlling the activity of any project with respect to quality, finance and time. Estimation of a project is a forcast of its probable cost. It is divided in two types:
1. General Estimate2. Detailed Estimate
To find out the probable cost of the project.To make provisions for the budget before hand.It gives an idea of the time required for the
completion of work.To obtain administrative approval.To obtain technical sanctions.It help in making tenders.It helps in controlling the expenditure during the
execution of the work.
