Introduction 國際海事組織標準海事通訊語彙 (IMO STANDARD MARINR COMMUNICATION PHRASES;SMCP)已經編纂：

5 call sign PDQE. Message reads: Engine trouble in

position 3 miles north of Northhinder lighthouse…. Need immediate tug assistance.

Date and time: 010138 UTC Taipei Radio.

５． Epsilon （大寫 Ε ，小寫 ε ），是第五個希臘字母。拉丁字母的 E 是從 Epsilon 變來。

６． Zeta （大寫 Ζ ，小寫 ζ ），是第六個希臘字母。拉丁字母的 Z 是從 Zeta 變來。

７． Eta （大寫 Η ，小寫 η ），是第七個希臘字母。

８． Theta （大寫 Θ ，小寫 θ ），是第八個希臘字母。 西里爾字母的 Ѳ 是從 Theta 變來。

９． Iota （大寫 Ι ，小寫 ι ），是第九個希臘字母。 在英語， ι 有時用來表示微細的差別。 拉丁字母的 I 是從 Iota 變來。

１０．Kappa （大寫 Κ ，小寫 κ ），是第十個希臘字母。

１１． Lambda （大寫 Λ ，小寫 λ ），是第十一個希臘字母。 西里爾字母的 Л 是由 Lambda 演變而成。

１２．Mu （大寫 Μ ，小寫 μ ），是第十二個希臘字母。 西里爾字母的 М 及拉丁字母的 M 都是由 Mu 演變而成。

１３．Nu （大寫 Ν ，小寫 ν ），是第十三個希臘字母。 西里爾字母的 Н 及拉丁字母的 N 都是由 Nu 演變而成。

１４． Xi （大寫 Ξ ，小寫 ξ ），是第十四個希臘字母。西里爾字母的 Ѯ (Ksi) 是由 Xi 演變而成。

１５． Omicron（大寫 Ο ，小寫 ο ），是第十五個希臘字母。 Omicron 字面上的意思是「小的 O 」（ o mikron ）。它在希臘數字中代表 70 。這個字母由於與拉丁字母 O 和數字 0 相似，人們大多不會使用這個字母作符號用途。
