Prior to joining SVN, Scott was Vice President of Business Attraction for the Economic Development Corporation ofSarasota County (EDC), a public/private partnership focused on growing and diversifying the economy of SarasotaCounty. At the EDC, Scott helped companies of all sizes relocate and expand in the area requiring a strong knowledge ofthe local commercial real estate environment, the regulations and many beneEts aDecting businesses and their ownersin Florida, and the incentives oDered to companies by State and Local government.
Earlier in his career Scott held senior executive positions with JPMorgan, State Street Bank & Trust Company, Siemens,and Digital Equipment Corporation (now Hewlett-Packard). Scott uses his extensive knowledge of the corporateenvironment, and the many industries he became knowledgeable about while working at these Erms, to better serve hisclients in the decision making process.
Scott moved to the City of Sarasota in 2003 from Boston and enjoys sailing, surEng and other Suncoast activities withhis wife, Rita. He is a graduate of the Rochester Institute of Technology.

PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND
An Indianapolis native, Morris moved to Sarasota in 2002 and quickly established himself in several real estateinvestment and development companies. Morris has been actively involved in commercial real estate for more than 20years and has extensive personal experience in the areas of commercial property development, multi-familydevelopment, and out lot build-to-suit. He is also actively engaged in retail and oFce investment property analysis,acquisition, sales, leasing and management.
Prior to moving to Sarasota, Morris was a Principal with Competitive Government Strategies (CGS), a professionalservices Erm dedicated to helping governmental and not-for- proEt clients improve performance. Previously, Morrisspent three years serving as a senior project manager for the Enterprise Development Division of the Mayor’s OFce inthe City of Indianapolis. In that capacity, he was responsible for coordinating many of the City’s competitive government,privatization and managed competition initiatives. Prior to that, Morris spent two years in Washington, D.C. serving asExecutive Assistant to United States Senator Richard G. Lugar.
Morris was honorably discharged from the United States Marine Corps with the rank of Captain and he also earned thedistinction of Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America. Morris enjoys water and snow skiing, shorter triathlons,running, and time with his family. He currently resides in Sarasota.
