• God cannot do some things because they are contrary to his divine character, not because of a lack of power

• What God cannot do should give us a sense of encouragement, not doubt

• Many people believe that God is just like them: liar, tempted, etc.

• But, he is not (Psa. 50:21)

• God’s nature is divine and he does not change his nature (Mal. 3:6; Rom. 11:29; Jas. 1:17)

• God cannot act with respect of persons (Deut. 10:17; Acts 10:34; Rom. 2:11; Eph. 6:9; Col. 3:25; Gal. 2:6; 1 Pet. 1:17; 2 Sam. 14:14)

–Mankind often acts prejudicially; he sets double-standards (Prov. 28:21; Jas. 2:1-9)
