Now, reality TV shows are becoming

more and more popular in many

countries.

What are reality TV shows? Unlike

cartoons and soap operas, reality

shows are actual events and real

situations on TV.

They have no actors. The stars are rea

people like you and me.

People not only watch reality shows, but also want to take part in them. By joining these programs, some people get out of their trouble.

Others change their ways of making

their living. Who Will Come To Have

Dinner? gives people a chance to meet

their idols face to face.

Get Me Out Of Poverty helps many

people make a difference in their lives.

It is without a doubt a very popular

show in Japan.

In America, one of the most famous

shows is Survivor. Millions of people

keep watching the show to see who

wins in the end.

Reality TV shows can also make people famous, at least for a short time.

This is especially true in talent-search

programs, such as the Super Idol or the

Walk of Stars.

In UK, one of the most successful

reality shows is Britain’s Got Talents.

Susan Boyle gave a very big surprise

when she first appeared at the show.

Everyone was surprised by her

amazing singing talent. Within a few

weeks, this 47-year-old lady became

world famous.

And she even had fans in many

different countries. In March

2010,Susan’s fans traveled from many

different parts of the world to Japan

to warch Susan perform.

Reality shows can turn your dream int

reality overnight.

Some game shows offer big cash prize that can almost make poor people become rich.

It is much more exciting to join the

show than just to watch them. What’s

better, people can easily get money

only by making right guesses.

Love them or hate them, reality shows are here to stay – and growing in number each year.

These reality shows have become a big,

big business. And who is the biggest

winner of this business?
