Challenger are the instruments that let us reach objectives we can only achieve in our dreams. The idea of
creating the METROPOLI collection, is the dream come true we wish to transmit today. A challenge both in technique and
creativity, developed by the excellent human team making up the KIN Cosmetics artistic team.
When I explained the idea of reinventing street fashion to my team, we immediately became trend hunters. We wanted to
know what was happening in the great cities, behind their buildings, in the urban sprawl... Without the least hesitation we
went to the Far East, to the most vibrant city of the moment. A hothouse of design, of fashion and a factory of dreams.
Our destination: Tokyo.
The most exciting urban tribes on the planet were waiting for us. Contact with the local stylists together with the frenetic
rhythm of Japanese society gave us with the keys to the METROPOLI Collection.
Long, medium and short cuts, intense colours, transformations and updo hairstyles all inspired in land of the rising sun are
going to thrust you into a new dimension. To explore the METROPOLI techniques will be your aim. Our pleasure will be to
transmit the essence of our work, which will reveal the new challenges of 21st century hairdressing.

SHINJUKU
To create an inspiration is something which surpasses reality itself. For this reason, when we took this area of Tokyo as a reference point, the first thing we did was to go into the centre of its famous station, with its passages and tunnels invaded daily by 3 million people. We stopped right there and looked head on at the travellers.
Sometimes, distinguishing the sex of the individuals was not at all easy and to move around the labyrinth of tunnels with this predominant minimalist theme was indeed a challenge which revealed the key to the lines to follow: purity, cleanliness, and order led us to create SHINJUKU.
Its clean, short lines give us the precision of a cut full of exacting movement. Its angles and symmetries convert it into the coolest and most ambiguous of tendencies of the collection.

a realizar posteriormente.
KINBLOND a 6%.
KINCREM 7.50
Después del tiempo de exposición, lavaremos con
KINCREM Shampoo Equilibrant y aplicaremos durante
15 minutos KINCREM 7.45/0 a 3% + 3ml. de V/44 en la
zona previamente decolorada.

1 Divide the hair into 5 blocks, drawing in the areas to
be coloured, taking into account the structure of the cut
that will be done later.
2 Trace a line in the curve over the temporal area
continuing until it arrives at the lower central hairline. Unite
the two side partitions by a line passing around the apex
point.
3 We will obtain a triangle the vertex of which begins in
the lower central area of the occipital and its base remains
situated in the upper area of the parietal.
4 Starting from the left front area, draw in a block
around 3 cm. wide, which will be joined with the base of
the back triangle. Finally, we will be left with a lightly
asymmetric rectangle in the upper area of the head.
5 Start applying KINCREM 4.50 at 6% on the sides.
By positioning the colour in this area we will obtain greater
visual depth in the cut. Protect this area with rigid plastic
before continuing.
6 Work the triangle with KINCREM 6.50 at 6%, extending
the product from the roots to the ends.
7 Colour the 3 cm wide block in the upper area using
KINCREM 6.50 at 6% and work the upper block from the
front with KINCREM 7.50 at 6%.
8 At a depth of around 2cm. draw in a fine sinuously
shaped section, bleach this section with KINBLOND at 6%.
9 On the rest of the block continue colouring with
KINCREM 7.50.
When the exposure time has finished, wash with
KINCREM Balancing Shampoo and apply KINCREM
7.45/0 at 3% + 3ml. of V/44 in the previously bleached

anteriormente cortada.
SHINJUKU STEP BY STEP
1 In the occipital make three partitions: an inverted
triangle in the central area and two partitions on each side
of the same area.
2 Project the side lines of the triangle of the occipital,
until the change in the curvature of the temporal, continuing
the line diagonally descending down to the temples.
3 Create a partition about 3 cm wide, parallel and
above the descending diagonal of the opposite temporal to
the slope of the fringe. Using a transverse line that passes
around the apex point separate the upper partition from
the partition at the back.
4 Work the occipital triangle using parallel sections,
cutting in horizontal elevation, parallel to the floor and with
the fingers at an angle of 90º.
5 To cut the occipital side sections, take as reference
the guide line of the triangle, moving the sections towards
the section to be cut next.
6 In diagonal sections cut the temporals with the same
measure as the previous point.
7 Cut the parietal in vertical sections with an interior
angle of 45º.
8 Cut the front, 3 cm partition with an elevation
perpendicular to the scalp, taking the guide line of the
sides as reference.
9 Cut the upper partition moving all the sections, using
the previously cut partition as guide strand.

Different means of transport are vital in big cities so we can travel from one place to another. We got to HARAJUKU, an area which is a gift to trend hunters, where on holidays and Sundays, we all mix with the urban tribes, meeting at this point of the city to show themselves off as if it were a great shop window. A place where you will find all the tendencies your mind is able to process.
Infinite lengths are raised up with volumes where only the force of gravity slows the elevation of their forms. Long, inspired in the femininity of their waves, they highlight the most seductive of women.
HARAJUKU fills us with vanguard cuts with a vintage inspiration, a reflection of a century of history bringing us the keys to this season. Prolonged lengths reaching as far as our scissors are able to create.

IKEBANA
IKEBANA
With IKEBANA we have created forms which make the city’s pulse transpire, shaking up the freedom of its movements and challenging the force of gravity, although always maintaining respect for the purity and care of the hair.
The aim of our work is, that with the new sculptures created in IKEBANA, you can discover the most sensitive side of the METROPOLI Collection.

METROPOLI

IKEBANA STEP BY STEP
1 Create a front partition drawing in a triangle from
eyebrow to eyebrow to a depth of around 4cm.
2 Make a partition from ear to ear passing around the
occipital, pin up the rest of the hair in a ponytail in the
upper part opposite the side of the fringe.
3 Comb the partition until it is unified with the ponytail.
4 Wrap the ponytail in crepe and fasten it with hairpins.
5 Use the curling tongs to create loose curls.
6 Position these, strand by strand, in the crepe, forming
the desired shapes and volume.
7 Comb the fringe towards the front and with a
backwards movement, create a wave.
8 Fasten it with hairpins and set with hairspray.
