HISTORY  Wipro Technologies is a global services provider delivering

The company was incorporated as Western India VegetableProducts Ltd in the year 1945.

Sri. Azim Premji is the chairman of Wipro Group who took thecharge in the year 1966.

The Company Manufactured FMCG Goods.

1990 – The joint venture with Elpro International Ltd to

manufacture X-ray machines became a subsidiary of the Company.

1993 – WIPRO launches Hair care products.

1995 – Installs 2nd Manufacturing plant for X-ray components.

2001 - Wipro became the first software technology and servicescompany in India to be certified for ISO 14001 certification forcomplying with the international standards for EnvironmentalManagement System (EMS)
