Most of Europe’s borders are self-evident. They are the waters that border it on three sides: the Arctic Sea to the north, the Atlantic Ocean to the west and the Mediterranean and Black Seas to the south. Where to draw Europe’s eastern border? And does it even have one?

The Turkish Straits are considered the geographical border between Europe and Asia.
