Villancicos y
Canciones de
Navidad
En sus orígenes, el Villancico no tuvo
contenido religioso. Eran canciones
cantos populares, religiosos o profanos,
pero con alusiones al misterio de la
Navidad.
religiosas y eran canciones corales

1.In the bleak midwinter, frosty wind made moan, earth stood
hard as iron, water like a stone; snow had fallen, snow on snow,
snow on snow, in the bleak midwinter, long ago.
2. Our God, heaven cannot hold him, nor earth sustain; heaven
and earth shall flee away when he comes to reign. In the bleak
midwinter a stable place sufficed the Lord God Almighty, Jesus
Christ.
3. Angels and archangels may have gathered there, cherubim
and seraphim thronged the air; but his mother only, in her
maiden bliss, worshiped the beloved with a kiss.
4. What can I give him, poor as I am? If I were a shepherd, I
would bring a lamb; if I were a Wise Man, I would do my part; yet
what I can I give him: give my heart.
In the Bleak Midwinter
Text: Christina G. Rossetti, 1830-1894

Joy to the world Alegría del mundo”, más conocido por la traducción “Gozo del
mundo”, es un muy popular himno de Navidad. El texto original es de uno de los más
grandes escritores de himnos de todos los tiempos, el inglés Isaac Watts (1674 –
1748).
Joy to the world! the Lord is
come;
Let earth receive her King;
Let every heart prepare Him
room,
and heaven and nature sing,
and heaven and nature sing,
and heaven, and heaven and
nature sing.
Joy to the earth! the Savior
reigns;
Let men their songs employ;
while fields and floods,
rocks, hills and plains
Repeat the sounding joy,
Repeat the sounding joy,
Repeat, repeat the sounding joy.
No more let sins and sorrows grow,
nor thorns infest the ground;
He comes to make His blessing flow
far as the curse is found,
far as the curse is found,
far as, far as the curse is found.
He rules the world with truth and
grace,
and makes the nations prove
the glories of His righteousness,
and wonders of His love,
and wonders of His love,
and wonders, wonders of His love

O Christmas Tree. Es un villancico tradicional aleman O Tannenbaum la
versión inglesa cantada por un tenor italiano llamado Mario Lanza
O Christmas tree, o Christmas tree
How loyal are your leaves/needles!
You're green not only
in the summertime,
No, also in winter when it snows.
O Christmas tree, o Christmas tree
How loyal are your leaves/needles!
O Christmas tree, o Christmas tree
You can please me very much!
How often has not at Christmastime
A tree like you given me such joy!
O Christmas tree, o Christmas tree,
You can please me very much!
O Christmas tree, o Christmas
tree
Your dress wants to
teach me something:
Your hope and durability
Provide comfort and strength
at any time.
O Christmas tree, o Christmas
tree,
That's what your dress should
teach me.

Merry Christmas, baby, you surely treat me nice

Last Christmas
I gave you my heart
But the very next day you gave it away
This year
To save me from tears
I'll give it to someone special
Once bitten and twice shy
I keep my distance
But you still catch my eye
Tell me baby
Do you recognize me?
Well
It's been a year
It doesn't surprise me
I wrapped it up and sent it
With a note saying I love you
I meant it
Now I know what a fool I've been
But if you kissed me now
I know you'd fool me again
A crowded room
Friends with tired eyes
I'm hiding from you
And your soul of ice
My god I thought you were
Someone to rely on Me?
I guess I was a shoulder to cry on

Mariah Carey-All I want for christmas is you
I don't want a lot for Christmas
There's just one thing I need
I don't care about presents
Underneath the Christmas tree
I just want you for my own
More than you could ever know
Make my wish come true...
All I want for Christmas
Is you...
I don't want a lot for Christmas
There is just one thing I need
I don't care about presents
Underneath the Christmas tree
I don't need to hang my stocking
There upon the fireplace
Santa Claus won't make me happy
With a toy on Christmas day
I just want you for my own
More than you could ever know
Make my wish come true
All I want for Christmas is you...
