Black-faced spoonbills are a kind of birds. Their mouths are black and long. Their bodies look white and a little big. They are about 74~82

centimeters tall. They have mouths like Chinese lutes and their feet are black.

A black-faced spoonbills can live up to 15 years. In fact, now people don’t know their real

lifespan.

Every October they fly from Korean and arrive in Taiwan and stay in Taiwan until

next May. They are mostly seen at Zengwun river mouth. It is the most

biggest group which can be watched in Taiwan.

They mainly eat small animals in the sea, like Paramecium or Amoeba

They also eat fish.

Entrepreneurs (企業家 ) want to build more and more factories, so they have

less land to live. It is important to protect the animals which are in danger. If we don’t do some good to them, they will disappear in one day. They are our

best to help them live in a cleaner environment.
