HUNCH: High School Students United with NASA to Create Hardware

Defined:

A collaboration between NASA/MSFC/JSC and High schools to allow career tech students to study realistic hardware designs and fabricate simulated hardware based on those designs.

In exchange, NASA will receive relatively high fidelity mockups for use in astronaut crew training and engineering design and prototype development.

Students gain valuable work skills and are challenged to meet real world requirements, work in a coordinated manner with other high schools and see how specific knowledge and skills are applied in the work place to produce space related hardware and software.

Students become motivated and challenged to continue studies that will lead to work supporting NASA’s goals and objectives. (To inspire the next generation)
