But we haven’t changed the way we think about change,

feel – and acceptance is as good as it’s going to get - oh boy!
But it shouldn’t be about from - to
It’s about being ready, willing and able
to adapt and evolve

We want people to be ready, willing and able to adapt and
evolve at work
We need to think away from terminating change and accept that change needs to change
The options for change• Do what you’ve always done and get what you’ve
always got – (definition of insanity)
• Adopt a strategy of compliance and punishment (popular and it works but wrecks innovation and creativity)
• Try the warm, fuzzy group engagement approach (also popular – but not much evidence of success)
• Use the reality of people and focus on the individual (it works and it’s what the best do)
It’s not as hard as it sounds
In fact it’s simple – not necessarily easy, but then failure caused by poor adoption isn’t easy either.
We simply have to make it all about the individual – there is no one as important to me as me!
Make it about ‘me’ and you can have everything you want
