Had a thought about what I want to base my final project on, decided on an advert. I then started the unit by creating a project schedule, planning out all the tasks I’m going to cover over the duration of the unit.

Complete project schedule/ adding to it each week and making changesStart researching and planning upcoming tasks.


Project schedule completed for the first week, but will need changing over the next few weeks.Researched and started Task 1: Key word definitions

Complete task 1 key word definitions by adding my own quotes using the knowledge I’ve learnt from the previous quotes I’ve found on the internet.Make changes on my project schedule for the upcoming week.


I have the quotes for each word from the internet for task 1 just needs to add my own quotes to get it finished and blogged.

Get my own quotes added to task 1 to complete it and get it blogged.Start my first task for my project which is researching and ideas generation for the final major project.


I have started researching for my upcoming final project, and brainstorming potential ideas of my project to see which idea would suit best activities outside of college.

Finish brainstorming ideas for final project and come to a deep conclusion on a certain idea.Complete and blog my task 1 work sheet


Started mind mapping a range of ideas for my idea generation. Using the mind map will help me discover what I want to try and create for my final project. Task 1 still needs to be completed and blogged, and the idea generation part of my blog is started to show progression.

Finally get my Task 1 finished and evidenced on my blog, complete mind map and conclude my finalised idea so I can then start to mood board and research ideas and gather research to help me produce my hoped product for FMP.


Task 1 is finished and blogged up in time for the deadline, due to this being finished I now can get a lead for my idea and hopefully arrange a few ideas to secure my idea to succeed in my final major project.

Get images from google, YouTube and other websites to form a mood board which will go towards idea generation, also upcoming proposal to fill is needed for my pitch to Iain on the 02/03/15.



Images are collected and arranged into a mood board on a PowerPoint, this will describe what I want my final major project to turn out like. Started generating my idea into my proposal form which describes my idea in the most depth and clearest way.

Finish proposal form and upload to blogger, also remember to blog my mood board into ideas generation. Start working on my pitch towards Iain and revise idea to gain confidence.


Proposal form and mood boards are blogged as planned and I have worked on my proposal pitch to Iain by breaking down my proposal forms into a script and then cue cards which involve key headlines for my idea.

Finish cue cards in time for proposal pitch, and revise over proposal form over weekend so I have a clear idea what to say in mind for Iain’s pitch.


Pitch is complete and a success, I think I did well beside lack of confidence from pressure. Started putting more detail into ideas generation e.g. making mood boards with a range of pictures which describe my idea, and started creating risk assessments for when the photo shoot takes place.

Finish and blog risk assessments so there are complete. Start to briefly drawing out storyboards for what I want my finalised idea to look like.


During this week I have completed both risk assessments for all my shoots and started creating other pre-productive tasks. I have also started to draw out my storyboards with a brief idea of what I hope my documentary to turn out like. My location recce is on the move and started it explains each location for each scene in the documentary as well with screenshots from Google maps.

For next week I am going to complete my storyboards and get them scanned in and put on my blog. Also get my Location recce completed and blogged so I can then start the next step in pre production.



This week I have completed my location recce and blogged it, completed the equipment checklist the production log, and both risk assessments so I don’t have much pre-production work to complete.

For next week I will complete the rest of the pre-production work e.g. the script the rest of the storyboards and the shooting schedules. Get them confirmed and blogged so soon I could be getting the footage for my video.

During the 2 week holiday I have gathered all of my storyboards and completed them, all now needs to be done is to scan them in and show them on Blogger. I’ve also had a test shoot at Beast Rampz to just practise on what shots I will like to be including in my FMP.

For next week I’m going to focus mostly on getting the starting footage for my project so I can start editing the introduction to the video.


Over the past week ive filmed some better footage at Beast Rampz so I can start on my editing whilst collecting all the rest of the footage of the next few weeks.

Next week im hoping to have a geed minute of my project completed and be matching up to my storyboards, then I can lead onto getting plenty more footage to make my project a documentary.


For this week I have had more trips to Beast Rampz to get more filming done. I have a good 3 minutes off footage so I can get well into editing and start my documentary with a bang.

For next week im going to get stuck into editing with the footage I have at the moment. And also have another visit to Beast Rampz to film the interviews for my project.


My FMP has taken off with the intro just how I want it, I’m now going to film the interviews with Charlotte and Leon so I can get started on the main purpose of the video. Also keeping track with my production schedules and leaving notes in my diary to keep on track with my work.

Next week is mainly going to consist of editing the project, hopefully have all the footage so I can focus on getting the edit to my perfection.


This week I’ve collected the footage needed going from my storyboards so my editing is mid-way done. I may need to re-film some clips or film a few last minute clips as a finale of my project.

Next week I’m going to get my edit finished, uploaded to YouTube and blogged so I can start my evaluation.


Over this past week I’ve almost completed my edit just tinting it up with some extra effect to make it look unique and more appealing.

I have completed the video and I’m happy with how it’s turned out. It’s time to start my evaluation which will consist of feedback and focus groups from social media sites which I could deeply talk about in my FMP evaluation.

For next week I will start the evaluation as soon as myVideo gains feedback, this will make it easier for me to evaluate my work talking about the good points and what could have been improved.


I have started my evaluation about my video so I’m discussing what could be improved and, hopefully I could get more feedback from my Facebook focus group I created so I can explain the video more with depth.

Next week I hope to complete my evaluations get it blogged alongside all my project schedules and this diary. Then I can get my work checked marked and hopefully signed off.
